Did you ever have an imaginary friend?

Despite having a very active imagination, i never had an imaginary friend, and none of my childhood friends did either. My mother ran a daycare out of our home and a couple of her young charges had imaginary friends. I remember recognizing how incredible their imaginary infrastructure was. It seemed to me that the imaginary friend concept required a greater degree of imagination and creativity than i was capable of in order to develop and maintain it.
Did you ever have an imaginary friend? Did anyone you know?

I do have a very vivid imagination and I am challenging myself on a daily basis but I never had an imaginary friend, be it as a toddler, young child, adolescent or now.

Those friends that I had were all very real albeit not many in terms of numbers because I was very selective whom I would chose as friend. To this day, I can count the number of my true friends on a single hand, and not even all fingers of that single hand are used.

It takes me years to trust someone enough to consider them as friends.

Imaginary friends would have had a really difficult time with me and would most likely not have been friend for a long time.
