I became successful but lost my family in the process?

What can I say, it just sucks, I never wanted the shiny things without my family being around, the success just doesn't feel the same

I understand, I'm in a similar position. And this reminds me of a motivational video I watched once. It compares you to a space shuttle. You know at a certain point in a space shuttle launch the rocket boosters fall away. The rocket boosters are a analogy for the people you know. The rocket boosters fall away because they can't go as high as you're going. It's nobody's fault per se. They have to make their choice and you have to make yours. I get it, you want your family close. So do I! But they're not rising to where I'm going. And I would be unhappy to stay at the level they're at.

I always had the problem with them like they dont understand the stakes and just are all around not smart individuals + not movitated + lacking opportunities. So now imagine for example me getting preg and I won't even be able to share the joy with my mom. That sucks

Again, I understand. Maybe not about pregnancy.😆 But I learned a while ago in life that you have to follow your path. Yeah, it sucks. But so does altering your life in a way that would not be conducive to your happiness. If they really valued you and your path they would either alter theirs or at the very least meet you half way.

Who specifically have you lost — and is there still a door, even a small one, that hasn't fully closed? It is not the end of the world. Some of us have no family to lose in the first place.
