How come people fawn over their baby kids?

and then turn nasty asf to them once they grow up? you know what im saying its true. im not a parent but i dont see any logical reason why one wouldn't uphold this attitude throughout their kids lifetime? so they were "best thing that happened to you" so how come it stops being true as time goes on?

The same reason people "fall out of love". Neither of them are divine love. It is carnal emotional attachments that depend on hormones and other parts of biology. This biological love is supposed to serve as precursor for humanity to learn to love with care but without worry, just like intelligence evolves over time. ㅤ

They probably reached an age where they couldn't readily control their life anymore. Some parents have a hard time letting go. ALL parents think they know what's best for their kids (even as adults). But some parents have a hard time letting go only letting their kids be their own person.

well thats simply false. sometimes kids do outgrow their parents, every parent is not a fortune 500 ceo + students in general outgrow their teachrs often.

You never outgrow your parents. Times change. Your knowledge of the current world may make some things you parents say obsolete. But some wisdom is timeless. And your parents will ALWAYS have your back. Even if it may feel misguided to you at the time.

Babies are controllable. Older kids aren't. Infants are completely dependent. They can't disagree, embarrass you, challenge your authority, or reflect back anything you didn't put there.
