What's wrong with tighty whities?

Why do tighty whities (white briefs) seem to have a negative connotation? I'm I high school and that's what I wear, but I feel embarrassed about them.

I find them to be super comfortable. I went back to them in my 30s. Best decision ever. Even the generic Hanes or FOTLs are my favorite. They have majorly improved over the past few decades

Fax growing up I had 3 older sisters who would give me front, hanging and all kind of other wedgies cus I wore these.
