Are doe eyes (meaning big, open, and round) a big preference?

I've seen so many makeup tutorials to widen eyes and I've read that in the past, women would put toxic substances in their eyes in order to make them dilate. It said that those substances blinded many people. Are big eyes really that coveted/attractive?

they did that to dilate their pupils, actually, which makes you look more attractive, 'cause when you look at someone you're attracted to, your pupils dilate. it can look intimidating and a little scary in my opinion, though. i think large, almond-shaped eyes are preference. but round looks cute, like baby eyes.

I don't like big round eyes personally and in my country almond shaped eyes is considered the best.

I don't know how I feel about them either. On some people they look creepy but on others they look adorable like a puppy or something lol.

Try not to worry lol. For the most part I find people with big eyes either adorable or normal but some people with big eyes use makeup to make their eyes seem even bigger or more dramatic and then they start to look like dolls with eyes that take up half of their faces.

Yeah I'm cursed with 'doe eyes' 😂 I wear lots of eyeliner on my eyes to make them look smaller, but then people just say it makes my eyes look mesmerizing 😅

Ooh. You have a severe case of baby face huh? I feel your pain. I was just looking at baby pictures the other day and I realized that my face literally looks the same. I'm talking from the time I was in diapers and could barely balance on my feet. The proportions, my chubby cheeks, everything. Usually people's faces will tighten up and lose the extreme softness but, I wasn't so fortunate.

Same 😭 The only difference between me and baby me is that I'm taller. I look womanly from the neck down, but I still get mistaken for a teenager.
