I think it works well if you have a taller forehead and a longer face with a more prominent jawline, because it minimizes those features, creating an overall "balance."
But, if it's someone with a smaller, rounder face, then I don't think it would complement those features very well.

Bangs don't look good with every face shape. But the photos of actresses/girls look definitely attractive. If a person here comments that those are ugly, I would definitely be sure that they are blind.
