Are nose piercings trashy?

Getting one soon and I’ve seen people say they are trashy.. and then some say not. I don’t think they are but if you do I would like an opinion why you think so

No. I don't believe they are.

I consider them as fashion. They are accessories that get used for decoration and entertainment purposes. They are not so bad.

I can't and won't speak on behalf of others; however; i can share my own experience of why some people are against it so much.

I have faced these reasons:

-Some people believe they are not beautiful. They appear ugly and disfigure the face in a way.

-Some people believe; Tattoos and Piercings are just unattractive. These sort of actions are inappropriate and not suppose to be done to human body and flesh.

-Some people believe; Piercings are okay but just not on the nose. A big no for the nose.

Additionally; my suggestion to you would be; do what you makes you happy. I admire your strength and curiosity to have such desire to hear the reasoning behind negative thoughts toward the action you're about to make. Not everyone can do that. However; you must remember to do what pleases you. You don't live your life for others but for yourself. You are entitled to create your happiness and as long as your happiness does not harm others; it's no one's business what you do. Your life; your choice. Just be who you are.

You just want the truth right? Yeah, nose rings are 100% seen as trashy. Personally I don't care about it but you wanted to know about generally. The only ones who would tell you they aren't are probably viewed as trashy by the same people that make the judgement on the piercing. Anyway, the reality is that it's something associated with white poverty level types... if you are wanting to appeal to everyone no nose piercing is the best. Afaik a lot of workplaces wouldn't allow it cuz you would not look professional. If u wore it for a job interview you would have a lot less chance of getting highered. Make sense? I am not defending how stigmatized they arel but they definitely are something a lot of people consider to be that way

Personally I don't like piercings in the face at all and they leave ugly scars. When working in healthcare as I do you know that it is a lot of bacteria around piercings and jewelry too. But as I said it's just how I think. You should do what you feel like and not listen to what other people say. There will always be people that disagree with you. My advice is to think a while before making the decision, you can always get it done in the future but it is hard to get things undone. When I was younger I wanted to get a piercing but I am super greatful towards my mom today because she adviced me to wait/not to back then.

I think theyre awesome, i'll be getting one soon too. everyone is going to have their opinions about it, there's no right or wrong way of thinking. the ones that hate the piercing are usually pretty conservative people, while ones who love it are more nonconformist type people

I was never a fan of nose piercings. However, it does suit certain girls so I hope I'll work out for you.

BUT, septum piercings are the worst kind of piercings any girl can wear. Those shitty things make pretty girls ugly af. But that's their choice of course.

I think they’re cute. Just make sure you keep it clean, especially while it’s healing after you get it pierced. The rings are cute, but I’ve always preferred the studs. I’m wearing a stud with a little pink gem right now.

As someone with piercings I'd like to say they aren't but it's down to the individual. It's a lot more socially acceptable now but you're gonna run into the opinionated lot eventually. I'd say if you want it done then get it done.

It’s about perception. I personally think they are extremely unattractive. So much so that when my girlfriend has it in we have agreed that we do not FaceTime. She is to take it out as long as we are with one another. She can wear it any other time she likes. That’s our compromise.

Just a bit, yeah. Mostly septum piercings. As long as it's not one of those, they're usually okay I guess. But NO girl is made MORE attractive by getting one, and plenty of cute girls are made LESS cute by getting one.

Septum is awful. Any other type of nose piercing is ok for me. But the septum is not.

No it isn't. You just need to find the right jewellery to suit your face. If you want to be subtle I'd opt for a nose stud instead of a ring

Yes, nose piercings are trashy. Especially if they're big and flashy. A stud is far more respectable. But wearing a big ring is like wearing pajamas in public.
