Is it weird or disgusting for girls to have hair on their arms?

So I'm 15. I've had hair on my arms since I can even remember. It's a medium brown shade so not really dark but it's still noticeable. The hair isn't thick, it's actually soft and pretty short. My boyfriend who is about to turn 17 says he hates my arm hair. We got in a small argument about it because he said other girls shave their arms and they don't have arm hair like I do. It honestly made me angry because that was some bull crap. I know there are girls who do remove their arm hair. But at my school nearly all the girls have arm hair... and lot's of girls have it worse than me. I even went out of my own way to examine all my "girlfriends" arms and every single one of them had hair on their arms. It honestly makes me angry how my boyfriend thinks I'm the only girl with arm hair, it's ridiculous. But do guys seriously hate arm hair on girls? I told my boyfriend I respect his body and he can do whatever he wanted with any of the hair on him as long as he felt happy and confident. So he decided to stay all natural everywhere. Which I respect. But he expects me to stay smooth like a baby everywhere except for my eyebrows and head.

Another thing is I've never had a problem with the hair on my arms and nobody has said anything to me about it up until this point with my boyfriend. It's made me extremely self conscious about my arms so i always try to hide them with jackets and stuff. I recently told my mother that I don't like my arm hair so we're looking into options on removing it safely that won't make it grow back stubbly and thick. We found a solution that works but yeah... how do people feel about arm hair on females?

No offense to your boyfriend, but he sounds ignorant about girls' physical features if he thinks that it's unusual for girls to leave their arm hair unshaven, lol. It's like he's never looked very closely at any girls before, if he's saying something like that.

I've noticed that girls have arm hair --- and that many girls even have more arm hair than some guys do --- before I was even a teenager, so I don't see how he made it to 17 without realizing this, lol!

If you never had any problem with your own arm hair before, don't start worrying now just because of your boyfriend. Most guys don't care at all whether a girl's arms have hair or not. In fact, some guys even like the feel of it, and it doesn't make a girl less feminine at all.

@BrianMerritt Doesn't make it okay, there's a massive difference between telling your SO that you don't like their shirt and getting into an actual argument about arm hair. Just from the information that we have, he is definitely in the wrong. We haven't heard his side, so we can't condemn him completely, but at the end of the day, the person who owns the body gets the last word. There's not a single good reason to argue about it unless someone's being hurt.

I know he likes feminine girls. Such as wearing dresses, staying cleanly shaved, painting your nails. I don't know if maybe arm hair had something to do with that and maybe he viewed arm hair as a guy trait.
