Yes, the receding hairline is the first indication of male pattern baldness. Of course, it could begin and end there, depending on your heredity and all sorts of other factors. Also, this could happen rapidly - or very slowly over decades.

The fact that you are between ages 18 and 24 and already you show some indications of baldness suggests that by your late 30s to early 40s you will be very thin on top.

That, however, is an educated guess. Take a look at your dad and maternal grandfather. Their hair will be the best indicator of where you end up.

I'm not that sure some guys lose their hair early or later. Your hairline looks OK. If you are losing it. I would suggest you shave it and grow facial hair. The balding on the top hair look does not look good.

I love your hair color - its really dark and Can't see enough to judge from that picture, but your hairline does look uneven, so it could be that certain parts are more fuller than the others. Also, your hair looks very thin, do you use any products in it?

Is that your forehead or the back of your head? If it's the back of your head you're definitely going bald. Receding hairline is common doesn't necessarily lead to balding.
