I'm going bald, Should I just finish it off?

So the front part of my hairline is receding very badly.. Like it goes back rather far and on the tops where there is still some hair you can see the scalp heavily..

Should I just get my clippers and razor and finish it off and just bald it the rest of the way?

Would doing this look better?

should I just try to hide it by a comb over or something..

Dude, I feel your pain. Hair loss sucks, especially when it's happening so young. A few thoughts:

- Rocking a buzz cut or fully shaved head does take some getting used to, but I think it'll look better than desperately combing over what's left. Own it with confidence!

- Wait it out a bit if you're not ready yet. Sometimes small changes happen fast but it might stabilize for a while before getting much worse. See how it is in a month or two.

- Definitely don't be ashamed of it, we can't help genetics. Most people won't care or even notice as much as you think.

- If you do shave it, make sure to do it regularly - nothing looks worse than patches of stubble! Keep facial hair trimmed neatly too.

- Try different styles out - you might be surprised how a number 2 buzz cut doesn't show as much as a number 1 if you're self-conscious at first.

- Own any jokes people make, laugh along. Bait them right back too. Bullies want a reaction, so don't give them the satisfaction.

Hair or not, you're still you man. Own who you are! I wouldn't stress too much about appearances at our age anyway. Let me know if you wanna go buzz it all off together in solidarity someday haha.

the only time balding hair has looked unnoteworthy to me was in a commune in which all the men had levitical priest haircuts, which is basically just all the hair pulled back to a cropped ponytail the length of the width of the hand at the hairline at the base of the skull at the back of the neck. it's an easy and cheap haircut, too, and beats insecurity based guesses at what pacifies and appeals to random people who don't even know you.

please no comb over. yes, accepting that you’re balding and trimming it down and getting used to the cleaned up look is the dignified way to go


but it’s not too late to look into reimplanting if you’re at the thinning stage and it’s not all gone. wigs/toupes are 🤮but hair implants are getting affordable and can really save your self esteem when you look in the mirror

Why are wigs gross? If I were to get one I'd probably just buy a long hair one from this one shop here that sells them like $400 for one that looks extremely real..
and yea mine is all gone in the front a bit.. Like there is def a shiny dome showing a lot..

i just meant if you clean it up and still have your confidence, then you’re good. otherwise, look into regrowing it with today’s tech it’s very possible. covering it up and faking it is just kindof an icky solution.

I remember years ago when I was in high school I had it bald for a year or two back then and everyone told me I looked better bald.. So maybe I'll just do that.. It'll probably save money anyways.. :( Just wanted hair ya know..

Well, If I were you, than I would just shave my head.
