My ideal is a tomboyish type who has enough interests in common with me so that we can have lots of fun together, but still knows how to doll herself up and look very stunning from time to time.

That said, assuming a girl who is very attractive, I'd prefer a tomboy over a girly-girl type. The former tends to imply lower maintenance to me and more common interests.

Sorta by accident! I second-guessed myself trying to decide only to vote tomboy and then, on second thought, realize I would prefer a mixed type. Sorry about skewing the poll. That said, if it was between the two, I'd go with tomboy over girly-girl.

That said, I might be approaching this poll entirely the wrong way, because I'm not thinking about fashion styles I prefer. If that was the case, I'd go for the girly-girl with sexy lingerie under her dress. I'm thinking more about the character traits I tend to find associated with pretty girls who have more of a tomboy style. It might just be my biased experience but they tend to be more down-to-earth and have interests in common (ex: both of us liking action or horror films).

First girl I fell for also had a tomboy style but also that kind of personality. I took her to a park once which offered boat rides and I thought it'd be some romantic thing a girl would like. She ended up wanting to take separate boats and race each other to the finish line to my pleasant surprise, and that was mutually fun for both of us -- it no longer became about me trying to do something she'd mainly like.
