I've seen a lot of people claim that when arguing that thong bikinis shouldn't be allowed in public places. The problem is that virtually all bikini bottoms show off part of the wearer's butt cheeks so where do you draw the line?

With bikinis the issue is about societal morality. Western society has basically deteriorated to the point now where some people care more about giving a cow a happy "natural" lifespan than child welfare, and girls should either cover everything or leave nothing to the imagination with their clothes.

Men are told flat out that it's offensive to ogle women's bodies yet at the same time the same women wear clothing that covers less than dental-floss and a handkerchief would.

I love winter because its too damn cold for these girls to walk around mostly naked and then complain about where I'm looking.

There's just no universal red line. It's a cultural thing. But not just that: there are also places where you can be fully naked (nudist beaches), whereas everywhere else you'll have to at least cover your 'private parts'. But even a bikini thong or brazilian style matches that definition. So I don't see the problem.
