Anyone else ever had the opportunity to wear evening (Opera) gloves? Guys do you like the looks of these on girls?

I have worn them to some formal events where dignitaries were hanging out... lol

It was fun actually, kind of makes you feel like Cinderella for a couple of hours, especially since it is not a normal state of dress.

Just wondering if anyone else ever had the opportunity to wear them and what you thought about it?

A. GIRLS: Yes, I have worn them before and love them

B. GIRLS: Yes, I have worn them but didn't really care for them that much

C. GIRLS: No, I have never worn them but would love to have the opportunity to try them sometime

D. GIRLS/GUYS: No, those are for rich chicks that keep their noses up in the air, no thanks!

E. GUYS: Yes, I love the looks of Evening Gloves on girls

F. GUYS: No, I am not impressed with the looks of Opera Gloves on chicks

I was never invited to an event that was socially important enough for me to have the opportunity to wear such nice evening gloves.

Maybe I should start dating moguls and CEO's to have a remote chance to be invited to one of those soirées or a Mozart opera in the Scala in Milan to have the chance to even come close to wearing one of those delicate silky and expensive looking pair of over elbow gloves.

But then, I would need a matching evening gown too and with my minimum wage as a part-time waitress (remember I am in college), it would take me so long that by the time I have enough $ saved, nobody remembers those beautiful gloves.

But wait! not all is lost for me. I have the opportunity to come across something that I could perhaps use during the next wedding (if I get invited). It may not look as fancy and colorful, but it would give me a feeling of what it would be like to look like this million $ girl from the upper society.

What do you think? Do I even have a chance for an invite?

My friend lent me a brand new pair for a dress party. They didn't feel comfortable. Plus, after I took 'em off, I soon discovered the gloves gave me rashes. :( I don't think I'd do that again.

Wow, you should have checked to see what the fabric was so that you didn't wear anything with that fabric again as it sounds like you were allergic to it.

They were satin. I'm not allergic to satin though. Maybe the inner lining was another fabric.

Yes, or it could be that they put some kind of flame-retardant chemical on them in case they were being worn by a smoker.

I think opera/evening gloves look amazing, and I wish they would return into fashion/style.

The gloves add an extra layer of elegance, which I am a complete sucker for. At least when they are black or white or in a dark colour.
They are also a very sexy addition to a lingerie set.

It was actually a company get together, and this was the twist. Both of us liked doing this for me it was great being a closet transgender, wife knew her being bisexual we made a great couple we always won the best couple. Sadly when some when some of the guys got drunk I kept getting chatted up , all good fun !!! it

In my first marriage I tried to hide who I was, but before we go married I told her everything about me and we worked together with it she had her things that need to be brought out , so we had no secrets in fact we used our way of looking at life to help each other, and although to some we were a little strange it worked great for us and our family !!!
