Wearing underwear waistband above pants?

I have done gymnastics for most of my life and was tired of the constant rub of my pants against my waist. I decided to start stretching my boxer briefs about two inches above my pant’s waistband. The fabric under the underwear waistband only shows when I am stretched out or bending one way or the other. Does any one find this acceptable or attractive or should I find a different solution? I have things for you to look up because I need to be a higher level to post pictures, apparently.
