I remember being devasted when i had to start wearing glasses in 5th grade. The shame and hurt i felt cut me deep. Now every stupid cunt in the world is wearing them. I think it started with supergirl. She was trying to hide how hot she was. Then every time she took her glasses and bun down you were like YEAH.

I don't know about other people, but I wear them because I'm legally blind and my eyes have too many problems to be solved with just contacts. That, and the fact that my eyes react badly to pretty much anything that touches them. My doctors don't recommend getting contacts, because not only are glasses more effective for me, there's also a good chance that I would be allergic to contacts. Given how easily my eyes are irritated, that could end very badly.

I like that more people are wearing them though. I wouldn't want it to be completely obvious to everyone as soon as they met me that I had serious problems with my eyes. That's what would happen if people only wore them when they absolutely had to. It comes up enough when people find out that I don't have a license. I hate getting questions about it from strangers when all I'm trying to do is live my life.

Moreover, I think they're cute. I hated them when I was little, but now I have fun with them. I'm getting a new prescription soon, and I'm going to get as many different frames as I can reasonably afford. It's pretty much the only thing I want for Christmas. That way I can match them to my outfits.

I dont wear glasses cause my sight is fine but if i had to id probably wear glasses over contacts cause i would be too lazy to wear contacts and bother with it and it seems like it would irritate my eyes too much

I'm planning to get LASIK this year personally. My friend just did it and it cost him about $2000 and he was mostly recovered within 3 days (again, mostly recovered, not 100%). Seems pretty cool. I'm sick of wearing glasses and I don't think they look attractive either. And it really sucks if I were to lose or break them.

Why can’t I wear glasses if I want to? How does it affect you any? Not everyone is a candidate for contacts. And even if they are, so what if someone doesn’t want to poke their eye on the daily? By the way, big framed glasses are usually for people suffering of myopia, while small framed glasses are for people suffering of hyperopia. Contancts aren't for everyone either. And lastly, not every other person wears glasses.
