Light makeup ideals for a guy?

I’m a 53 y/o male. I work in the sun for years. I’m trying new simple things to relieve sun damage. I’m now trying a moisturizing cream cetaphil, my face does feel tighter. I have used 2 days. I have heard of BB cream? Any idea how to use for a guy? I tried a mineral powder and felt like I was dead. I covered a few blemish on my face. Am I just old and stick a fork in me. Any help would be helpful.

I recently tried using bb cream (beauty balm cream). It's great. Covergirl or Maybeline both have tiny tubes of it for 9 or 10 dollars at Target and maybe drug stores like Rite Aid. There are slightly more expensive options but this was an experiment so I bought the two cheapest ones.

The Maybeline one has sunscreen in it, though only 15 spf so it's not much.
What's tricky is figuring out your shade if you're not very dark or very pale and instead somewhere in between. Luckily for me I'm on one end of the spectrum so I can't help you there.

There's also cc cream (color correction cream). it's basically the same as bb cream from what i gather. i'm probably gonna try one eventually.

both bb creams and cc creams are basically lotion, makeup foundation, color correction (helps even out uneven skin tones/redness), and usually sunscreen, all built into one. they're pretty great.

when applying it i'd start with only small amounts and add as needed. the effect is subtle though. if you notice it, it's too much.
i find it's only noticeable if i haven't shaved and it sticks and shows in my stubble.

Are you saying that Cataphil works?
Better to start something now than wait untill more skin damage.
I don’t think 53 is that old.

It does seem to help. I’m still active. Had several surgeries. I want to remain young as long as possible. Thanks buddy
