Are curves only valid if the girl has waist or?

I think curvy as in they have curves (hour glass figure), that's why you can have a petite curvy and a thick curvy. Techincally you can have fat and curvy but it tends to be rarer because well fat has a way of hiding curves. However I do tend to associate curves with thicker women (not fat, but women with wider hips, thicker thighs etc.).
So here is a picture of a woman I would consider curvy but petite:

Here is what is frequently viewed as curvy:

and what I would consider to be thick and curvy:

So while all have different body sizes they all have curves and those tend to be from bust to hip ratio and a narrower waist (relative to the hips and bust. So their is no number specifically that will give you an accurate definition of "curvy" as its relative to the rest of the body so its not binary i. e. curves/no curves but more of a gradient).
To be curvy, you have to have curves. It originally described a woman who litterally had a hourglass figure lol I'mma have to use Beyonce for that classic example ⏳ . But in my opinion I think my culture looks at any proportion of woman with dramatic curving body lines as curvy. However not to throw shade there's a lot of beautiful big girls out there that say they're curvy but they don't have curves lol. Meghan Trainor at LA Pride this year is a good example of a bigger curvy girl. But if you a whole lotta a woman and you resemble that b*tch Lizzo in anyway you definitely curvy too. It ain't bout being bigger or smaller or having a waist, it's about your whole damn body sis (an whether or not you ate cornbread your whole life) 😂
I’ve been defined as curvy 🤷♀️
In my opinion, it’s the natural curvature of your hips; that’s what gives you curves.
A big butt and breasts only enhance it, giving you an hour glass figure.
It's only curves it girl is not fat otherwise the girl isn't curvy she's fat. Without a waste for curviness you look like a walking fridge.

I used to go on & on about how some women with a LITTLE extra looked good but nasty hippo shaped obese women have gone overboard polluting words like thicc and bbw. It’s just not worth it for me to defend women anymore. Let feminists define curvy. And let men ignore women who are too lazy to exercise or control their eating.
Technically everyone has curves, but we know we're not being technical when we call people curvy, right?
If someone's curvy, when you look at them, you think damn, look at those curves.
If it's the Earth doing the curving - under someone's extreme weight - then they're just fat, not curvy.
I really do not think the terms curvy or thick have a well defined meaning. Frequently, curvy is used to describe girls who could also be called chubby as in starting to get love handles and belly rolls. Chubby and fat are not well defined either, at least where one stops and the other starts. For me all of this is irrelevant, I like thick, curvy, chubby, and fat girls all the same.
Just basically the hourglass figure, where the butt noticeably (at least somewhat) stands out for being bigger and also boobs to be fully curvy.
It's more noticeable with people who have a bit more size on them, but I think anyone, fat, skinny or in-between, can be curvy, because their butt and boobs will still sound out and be noticeably bigger.
Defining curvy depends on the guy. Some guys see curvy as looking at a female from the side, while some guys see curvy as looking at a female from the front. In my opinion, curvy is as long as the body doesn't look like a plank from the side or doesn't look like a rectangle from the front.
Is it body structure or is it excess fat? I love curvy and thicc, but I don't really care for unhealthily overweight, a little pudge does not deter me in the slightest. A girl with a little meat on her bones is very apealing to me and usually that is a curvy girl. Curves are generally shoulders, just hips and booty but i also like thick thighs.
I don't define it at all, because it's an idiotic term with no substance any more which people need to stop using.
Most of the time, it simply means "fat" since all people do is call fat girls "curvy" rather than what they are, which is fat. Only the two left girls up there in that pic are attractive, by the way.
Curvy is having curves in the right places. I often see overweight women calling themselves curvy, but I feel that they are just in denial and using the word as an excuse to not live a healthier lifestyle.
If they are proud of their body and figure I dont care, they are using the term incorrectly to serve the purpose of vanity.
Curvy properly used to describe women with a waist to hip ratio of roughly 65%- 75%. That is to say, their waist should be about 65%- 75% as wide as their hips.
Since women generally have wide hips it's the relative narrowness of the waist that produces the appearance of curves.
Doesn't look like someone should run and grab her a sandwich.
Rumors seem true, big girls are somehow better- or at least put more effort into a nice friendly BJ. Some girls you just try to not make it apparent you think she's terrible at it are happy to have her do anything else.
hourglass... the term became to an alibi term for obesity. Slightly obese girl with a hourglass figure is curvy like too thin one, it's a matter of shoulder, waist, hips ratio, not the fat amount on her body.
To me, curvy has everything to do with proportion. So a woman who has breasts and hips markedly more pronounced than her waist, regardless of her weight, is curvy. There is a limit however, where she is simply obese
a woman that has hips that are wider than her waist. curvy has nothing to do with body mass. you could be scrawny and curvy or fat and curvy. it's the shape of the body, not the fat content.
Curvy is all in the waist to hip ratio. I believe the ideal is about 0.7 and Sofia Vergara is 0.72. By comparison, most guys are at least 0.9. I'd imagine most of those women in the picture are in the 0.8 and up range, so not exactly curvy.
I mean, you could, by definition, technically, but not officially, say, that, anything bigger than a size zero, is considered curvy but, it depends on if you really truly believe that such thing as a size ZERO even exists, because, many people don't believe zero's a real number
Larger breasts, hips, butt etc. Their waist doesn't have to be an hourglass contrary to popular opinion. All 4 girls on the right on the above picture would qualify in various degrees.
When your bust and/or hips are wider then your waist. By 6 inches or more. That typically means curvy.
I would define myself as curvy
I think you're more in the average/above average body type but not really curvy per say.
Above average?
Like you have alittle more curves more than an most average girls, but I don't think enough to be in the curvy catagory, but you're still attractive 😊
I see :)
Thank you
You’re curvy girl👏🏽
Its not fat... it defines when a woman has tits that pop out and an ass that sticks out from the rest of her body the same. It isnr just some blur. That would be nasty
For me curvy means that they are not skinny. An hourglass shape is not needed.
I definitely prefer curvy girls.
Curvy isn't fat. Curvy is specifically a bigger booty compared to the waist with bigger boobs.
There's a big girl curvy and a skinny girl curvy. I don't really use the term though.
Round butt cheeks and a nice hip to waist ratio. It doesn't matter if the woman is thin or heavy, tall or short. Although curvy usually makes me think of a larger size woman.
I don't... it's a term I rarely use, but when I do, I mean "proportionately shaped in the way I like a woman to be shaped!" THAT would be MY definition of curvy.
Curves are not the topography of fat folds but rather an hour glass shape
curves are about the bust-waist and waist-hip ratios. I would think that curvy is at a 10-inch difference
For curvy I'd say they need a big butt and not be too skinny, it's really a matter of preference though
To me, it's all about body proportions, not size itself. I define curvy as having wide hips, a narrow waist and at least average breasts and buttocks in terms of size.
The third from the left and the 2 on the far right I would say are curvy. Hip to waist ratio and thicker tapering thighs.
Curvy is fat in all the right places, but not too much. The stomach is not a right place to have fat.
Ample hips and breasts. Giving a curvaceous shape.
I do not consider a chubby or obese person curvy.
if u count from left to right the 4th one looks curvy
I think it's just a way of nicely saying girls are not at their ideal body mass index.
If a thin girl is a flute and a heavy girl is a tuba I guess a curvy girl would be a tenor saxophone.
How a body curves, no matter where it is. If you're a bigger woman you curve in different areas. And curves are always okay no matter where they are!
I would define it by the difference in their measurements. 32-30-34 isn't curvy. 36-24-38 is definitely curvy.
To be honest, if It's a girl, I betcha she's curvy! :)
Curvy is an hourglass figure. Especially a small waist to hip ratio.
Second girl from the right and second and third from the left those are curves
Hourglass shape. Marilyn Monroe is the staple of curvy.
A girl can be a bit pudgy and still be curvy, it looks more natural in my opinion
When people have curved bodies more so than straight bodies.
I like the body type the two far left. I'm trying my best to get to the same in a male body...
Depends, but usually butt and bust are larger, slimmer waist.
A little extra doesn't mess up the term but some people think chubby is curvy.
Very good point. Chubby is often confused with curvy.
Thats the definition of curvy, there has to be a thinner waste, personally i dont think you can say curvy if you look like a mitchalin man.
This is what I mean when I say curvy.
Usually people who say curby just mean fat.
Curvy is small waist wide hips.
Curvy means curves. So not skinny and not pudgy. It means fat booty and big boobs but slim waist.
The girl third from the left is a good kinda curvy/thick
I nice petit body with nice breast and a nice grabable ass
When it goes to all the right places... A beer gut is not curvy.
( ) ( ) ( ) ( )
)( ( ) Curved ( ) Not Curved
( ) ( ) ( ) ( )
Yes, the word curve describes the no straight line from one knee to the opposite shoulder
Curvy isn't a thing. There's slim, chubby and fat. "Curvy" is just a sugarcoated way of saying chubby
To me curvy is a little extra in the but and up top. Not over weight to me but most women would consider would consider it overweight.
Curves are defined shape. It depends on the men's eyes. If we like you , we won't worry about curves
if i kick you in the ass and it jiggles you're curvy
Hips wider than waist and bust roughly size c or higher.
Second, third and fifth ones.
Fourth one is just fat, first and third are a bit skinny.
A woman that has curves. It's simple.
I think of a quatre circle
