Is this normal healing for a tattoo?

I just got a tattoo Thursday and I have these patches but I don’t know if this is okay or not..

Sorry but whoever done the tattoo really needs to practice more because he Or she didn’t do a good job at all covering up the name some of the lines are sloppy too I can still see the lines from the old tattoo that you were trying to cover up which should not be seen at all after a tattoo cover up If you don’t know what I mean check out YouTube videos on tattoo cover ups and you will notice professional work compared to someone who either doesn’t know what they are doing or who are still learning I’m not hating I just hate knowing they charged you all that money and they done a not so good job

I know, but due to my job I can’t have a large tattoo which was needed if I wanted it all covered up. Close by you can see the name pretty good but if you have it on face you can’t see it

You don’t need to have a large tattoo but them being the tattoo artist they should have done a better job with the lines and with the covering of the name without needing to make the tattoo bigger trust me you might think it’s not noticeable on face but to people who pay attention to detail and especially those who are genuine professional tattoo artist they will see it from a mile away I’m not a professional tattoo artist but even I can notice

Looks to me like you just bleed more in that area of the tattoo. It's scabbing right? Don't pick at it. If you pick a scab on a tattoo then the ink won't settle properly and you end up with a splotchy tattoo. Just leave it be- put lotion and and rub it in, but don't be aggressive about how much you rub. And if it does heal badly then take pictures of the healing process and go back to the artist that tattooed you- most of them are pretty good for doing free touch ups if something goes wrong that wasn't your fault

only time will tell but to me that looks like too much build up of ink because the tattoo artist isn't so skilled when it comes to shading... you could check with a doctor though if it feels sore or any redness appears

well if i was you i would get it checked out by a doctor or at least go back to the person who did it and esk them why it looks so uneven

Yesterday the lighter patches were as dark as the rest of the tattoo maybe it is scabbing or healing?

ah well maybe leave it a coupe more days then to see if it evens out

Is it raised and/or peeling in other places? Looks fairly normal.

It looks like it’s the scabbing that came off on those places cuz it is lighter

Then yeah, that's fine, tattoos are supposed to scab like that. Restrain yourself from picking at it 👍

But I don’t know for sure since it’s pretty light than the other places , do you think this is just healing?

It's possible he didn't even out the color enough, and that's why you're seeing the contrast, but I don't know. I wouldn't be concerned for any health reasons though. All you can really do is wait at see at this point

Mine didn't look like that when It healed. It never patched up. It was red but that didn't affect it. Was the artist a professional?

In the healing stage you should wear like a clear bandage for a while longer if that tat is big. That's what my artist said because maybe that's why it's patching but don't pick at it. But I think you're okay. If the patches don't go away, definitely see a doctor

You don't know, and no one does on here too. It's hard to judge as we can't see you in real life.
