Why is 5.3 ft considered petite?

Average female height is 5”2 by what I know? It isn’t really petite in fact it’s over average. People are just really tall.

In the U. S. it's 5'4.

That is considered short but not necessarily for a woman. Petite would mean you have a very low body mass index

Really it's average height, but I consider 5'3 short and so do many other guys because we tower over 5'3.
