Is 5 inches too big or too small?

Spring time in the cascades brings out the banana slugs as this guy was transiting the window in the sunroom I broke out my ruler and he cleared 5" here, at one point for some reason he measured a full 9 inches, long n skinny.

I prefer my slugs dead, invisible or non existent.

These things are so gross. I can't count how many times I've walked out the door in the morning to experience that all too familiar squishiness of a slug under foot.

Just ewwwwwwww. The brown ones look just like dog turds.

I got some chickens the other day and I've been told they'll kill the slugs... I'm skeptical but I'd love for my back yard to be rid of these bastards.

I lived in the UK and used to get those things inside my house. I could tell by the slime trails around the living room and kitchen. I ended up putting down slug pellets but what those do to a slug who accidentally touches one doesn't bear thinking about (or looking at)

We have no shortage of greens and wet here and these bastards eat everything in sight, they are everywhere though the average size is smaller than this one, the mottled yellow and brown ones like this look like old bruised bananas, then there are solid brown ones that don't get quite so big but there are tons of those
