Why should girls have to dress differently? Guys should know how to control themselves.
Why do girls have to dress appropriately for boys?
Why should girls have to dress differently? Guys should know how to control themselves.
What the heck is this question!
Do you wear cloths for guys?
You want to show off?
Or you want to attend your school in a disciplined way to get education?
Guys should know how to control themselves? Like did all are trying to molest you or something?
If it was not for guys, you would have not even cared about your clothing ever...
Do you even understand why clothing is necesaary? How it effects?
most dress codes are stupid, but if a guy came to school in booty shorts its safe to assume he's being sent home
Schools have very little faith in teenage boys. Of course it’s distracting if an attractive person shows off their body but we should all have enough self-control not to let it impact our performance.
An amazing analogy for a situation like this would be that you're walking on an icy road and keep slipping. But instead of clearing the road of ice, you wear shoes with better grip which are uncomfortable and still may fail. The system would rather make adjustments than to fix the actual cause of the problem.
Girl, you deserve to be the top comment ✨
I dont understand that myself n i think we as a society need to be educated about accepting others as they are
Thanks for MHO honey

Hmmmmm good argument but I am slightly in favour of a dress code for both genders as long as it is fair to both. It prepares you for life, most places of employment have some form of dress code
Welcome to the broken amd stupid world of patriarchy. There are so many similar stupid rules that absolutely make no sense but welp who are we to say. We're just children who should just follow the rules without asking questions. I could go on a rant but i can sum it up simply. The. Society. Is. Broken.
I agree! It's not Taliban in Afghanistan!! Wear what you like, but just don't bitch when the non-hot guys hit on you!! :) :)
Better question,...
Why can't you control yourself and wear modest clothing?
It’s regular clothing
What’s wrong with skinny jeans?
Guys in my school can wear tank tops and basically whatever they want and girls are limited
Is it modest?
Yes and the rules aren’t fair
What according to you would be modest?
A dude can wear tights but a girl can’t
I see many guys walking around in crop tops and teachers don’t care but once it’s a girl wearing one, it’s a problem
Oh i just saw his age. Ok boomer.
OK, I give up, I personally know modest when I see it and I know immodest when I see it.
(This is reason number 5,269 why we home school...)
Modesty is a personal conduct. Something that is governed personally. Modesty in one individuals eyes can be different from what someone else thinks is modest and there's nothing wrong in having different opinion. The issue arises when people start forcing their idea of appropriation and modesty over others. What further worsens the situation is when such rules are imposed only on one specific group of individuals and is not uniform amongst everyone.
@piegingerbread
"boomer"
Thankfully, I'll be checked out when you're all reaping the fruits of the 102 genders, etc.
I'm so glad my wife and family don't deal with school rules that are admittedly arbitrary.
Truly, I wish you the best navigating through this quagmire.
"boomer" is a correct word.
And being a student with a science background. I certainly don't believe in there being 102 genders. Also i personally believe homeschooling is much better than regular school because the entire education system is broken. Hope the best for you too. Just try having a broader mindset.
@piegingerbread
"The issue arises when people start forcing their idea of appropriation and modesty over others"
Does that apply to the less clothed as well as the more clothed?
You do understand that the most exposed are forcing their idea of modesty on the rest of us, right?
Absolutely. It applies to both the group of people. There is nothing ideal in this world and thinking that the "more" exposed group of people forcing their idea of modesty over others would be okay is wrong and thinking that something like this wouldn't happen at all is extremely ignorant. That's why the phrase 'modesty is a personal conduct' is so important because neither should you force your ideals on someone else nor should someone do the same to you. Again, the world isn't ideal but we can always try to make it better
@piegingerbread
"OK boomer" might be considered a little derogatory, but I can't take offence at every little slight.

Glad you prefer homeschooling.
@piegingerbread
So, Miley Cyrus shows up in a typical Miley outfit.
Her personal idea of modesty is that it's fine, but it is outside the view of 98% of the people in the room.
Do the 98% just have to allow for her "personal conduct"?
Ok boomer is a very ironically weird subject to talk about. I'm also not quite well informed about all the issues around it. But considering the majority of adults think of it as derogatory because it's against them and it gives youngsters some power and ability to get back to the adults makes me scratch my head.
So do you imply that if the majority thinks something is right, the thing should be forced on the minority?
@piegingerbread
"... if the majority thinks something is right, the thing should be forced on the minority?"
Not a mere majority, I'm talking a large majority...
When it's over 70% and it comes to modesty, why must a big majority be offended
70% are not saying you have to wear a burka, but they are saying, no to nipples, testicles and other things like that.
Is there a discrimination between different nipples? What parts of a tank top shows nipples? Are shorts so problematic that it doesn't let people focus on what they're there for? Why the discrimination between boys and girls?
@piegingerbread
Surely you're not unaware of the difference between a man's breast/nipple and a woman's breast/nipple, are you?
Like I said happy we home school.
because we are extrimely visual creatures... we seee, we liiiike... but some of us can control ourselves...
but if you wearing something that pitches half the tents in the room or more... there's something wrong
Yeah, dress codes like that are pretty fucking stupid.
Because schools think it's more important for boys not control themselves than to not disrupt the class by making a girl change.
Boys should be able to control themselves, but at the same time, is any type of revealing clothing appropriate for school?
Guys can control their actions but not their thoughts. A girl wearing yoga pants, to the male mind, is the same as a girl being naked and its fucking distracting
"Guys should know how to control themselves."
You have zero bearing for what it's like to be in there shoes, so don't even try.
I don't remember guys being able to wear tight clothes or going topless at school
