I would wear them with low tops. The high tops look a bit odd with them. They're definitely cropped on you but would look cute with pumps, flats, or reg converse.
They are like, right between normal pants and high water pants. But they look fine standing at least.
Do seem a little short - You will always have to wear boots or a boot style with them then it is fine
when you sit down I bet they are going to raise to your knees.

Nah they look good to me. They don't cover your shoes or drag down, it's a look.
