When I was younger those were just normal length shorts. Although almost all of them were cutoff jeans, not store bought. That was true of both guys and girls. I hate the long "shorts" that are sold today for guys. Pants that come to the knees are not "shorts".

To directly answer the question. To me those are not mini. They are just regular shorts, and I don't think anything of it.

there's a HUGE difference between the first two pairs and the others. the first two i think are screaming for attention and not really the good type. i would disappointed with my wife for wearing them because it sends a very distinct message.

the second two pairs are totally fine to me
