I have a hairy chest, sometimes. I wear buttoned down shirts, open chest, always. Hahahaha. I used to wear a f***ing medallion, too. I'm a badass, I'm telling you.

That's fine with me, but I guess it mainly depends on how much hair we're talkin, and how low the neckline is.

As long as:
a) It's just a little v neck and not a giant plunge.
b) You're not SUPERRR hairy. Being too hairy is just kind gross.
Other than that, v-necks are pretty hot. :) -
I've seen some guys do it and it look hot.
Others not so much. So I suppose it just depends on the guy. -

I think it depends on your style.. if you are "hipster" ish then I think that it totally OK. and could be sort of sexy. however, if your more preppy or a jock it is so not ok
