Are there any guys or girls who don’t follow celebs or Instagram models?

I don’t follow celebs because most of the time their photos are photoshopped. When I was 17 I downloaded Instagram and I followed Kylie Jenner and other celebs. Seeing their small waists and big butts made me very insecure with myself. Then after some research I found out that most of them are photoshopped or edit their pictures and videos, got lots of plastic surgeries to look like that. I unfollowed all of them because it’s no good for me to follow someone and always comparing them to myself. I will never be like them. I would rather follow cute pets than humans because that way it won’t affect me so much

I don't. A lot of it is because I'm don't really care about the celeb scene. But also I think it can be toxic. As you said, many celebs and models are photoshopped or have had plastic surgeries, and it makes average people feel insecure. It promotes a message that you have to be aesthetically attractive in order to be beautiful or in order to be thought of as a potential sex partner. Well first of all, there's more to people than aesthetics, and value is not determined by whether or not people view you as a potential sex partner. Longing after what other people have, especially when we can't have it or it's unrealistic, only makes life sad.

I follow my favourite sports stars. Instagram models are noy real models for me so i never found them appealing or interesting. I have a life outside instagram lol.

I don't care about celebrities at all. Now that every person has Twitter or Insta or something like that why would I follow someone I have absolutely no relation to? Keeping up with the people I do know and care about is time consuming enough.

I get free tips and reminders. They get views and some likes/comments. A win-win situation.
