A very old fashioned British magazine that just oggles high born people with noble titles.

Old fashioned and outdated. But is there an American version of this or are the celebrities the American magazine aristocracy?

I mean we basically treat celebrities as nobles anyhow. Several presidents and other political positions were celebrities beforehand, so there is even some overlap between the two.

I noticed, especially in Texas, people only talked about the very wealthy. And the poor were just ignored. Like, they earn so little, $2.15 and hour as a server. No job security. Addicted to Meth and ethanol. And lived so much worse than those of other first world countries.

The Conservatives thought they were all just lazy and wanted to preserve this dire status quo. But the Liberals weren't able to talk about "communist stuff" like the working poor or they'd get ostracized by Texas culture.

And so the self described 'Liberals' just chatted ad nauseum about celebrities and fashion models and movies and stupid shit. And how more millionaire fashion celebs need to be fat to make fat southerners feel good about their bodies. Just stupid shallow bullshit.
