Fashion and how we dress can often project our personality or current mood. Thinking back, is there an outfit/accessory that you would wear as a signal that you are open to someone new coming up to talk to you? Or would you dress the same way regardless?

Not really some people who are married don't always wear a ring, which normally is a give away
Ladies can dress up nicely & you wouldn't know
Same with a man all decked out but taken
Then some people have a flirtatious nature but are spoken for
So no matter what there's probably no way of knowing unless you ask just my opinion ✌️

I guess it depends for instance work, going out for dinner, or preference they choose to dress nice
Now if it's behavior where a person dresses frumpy & then they're all decked out well that's questionable

Personally I would actually dress the same way. Regardless of me being I'm single or not. However if I was asked out on a date, i wouldn't mind dressing a little stylish and provocatively in accordance with my comfort level.

Well, firstly I have always been single and I do wear modern outfits and I wear them regardless.

Secondly I am not welcome to approach because I wish to remain single for life.

Simple, if any woman tries to approach and if I see any such sign then I will back off and if any woman approaches me directly then I will politely refuse and say NO with a brief reason.

If anyone else also asks then I will say it outright then I am not welcome to any sort of approach related to LOVE, relationships.

At those specific types of parties it can. But it would be nice if something definitely signaled you were single and ready to mingle just like rainbow means ur prob gay or something.

Yes a clear signal would make it easier. Part of this question was inspired by a scene I saw in a baseball movie called For Love of the Game. The female lead tells the pitcher she wished we walked around with signs on our chests saying labels like single, married. So was curious fashion wise if women hinted at men those labels. Doesn’t sound like any hints are given with clothing.

No not really, I just let things flow the way it is and if I attract someone, I attracte someone. But if I have my eye on one individual I might dress up better than usual to impress.

It depends on the season I guess but a dress, jeans, skirts, sweaters, blouses etc.

I guess there’s this stereotype that girls who wear more revealing clothes are promiscuous but I personally don’t think that’s the case

Thanks. Personally I don’t consider a girl promiscuous if she’s showing more skin but then again I live in Florida and it’s normal to see girls wearing less covering clothes. Based on the replies so far it sounds like a guy should approach someone regardless of how they are dressed.
