For me, Western. Although it doesn't matter that much. The top-left on the Asian beauty standard is just as hot as the two chicks on the right of the Western beauty standard. It seems like it doesn't matter all that much to me; I like pretty girls, no matter where they're from. And I should also mention, I am an American currently living in South Korea. Although Korean girls have no interest in me (they're not interested in any non-Koreans at all, besides tall white men), I've found a few of them to be quite pretty and would've loved to taken them out on a date, had they not rejected my advances.
Girls in actual Asian countries tend to grow up with pressure of dating their own race, it’s dumb but that’s how it is. Deadass was scared to even date other races including white because my parents are so traditional like that. Anyway yeah the top left is more of a mix of both, really pretty for sure.
A friend of mine grew up in Daejeon, South Korea, but then moved to the US as a young teenager, like 13 or so. She spent her time living on the East Coast and said she never wanted to really go back, aside from visiting relatives once or twice a year. She also happens to be 180 cm, and "thick" (fat) as far as Korean girls go. I had planned to meet her in 2019, but she had left Korea to go back home to the US, just as I was getting here. We missed each other by, like, a couple days. I got her a present for her birthday, a drawing of her from an artist. But yeah, she basically says South Korea sucked. And now, I'm living here.
Yeah I mean Korea is the most judgmental I feel like, they push their standards among all the women there as well as foreigners, not fun lol. It’s still a beautiful country, it’s just the societal standards that needs fixing. Their “plus sized” models are the slim models in America which is insane to me
As a Brit, those are not what we think about when someone says Asian.
Asian is a rather large land mass.
But when i talked to this 20 year British guy, his definition of Asian was "only East Asian". So is this a generation thing or something?

Is that really western beauty standards? Isn't it strange most people are finding the Asian standards to be more appealing? I'm pretty sure we're mostly westerners here.
Really? Have you asked those people in person about these photos? Even the facial structures look different. I feel like most people would say the first is more attractive.
I personally love tats on girls... just not overly tatted, but I think most guys prefer less makeup. Natural beauty is always best if you can pull it off, unless you're not attractive enough.
It’s beauty standards the first set of girls is what is found attractive in East Asian countries look at the Instagram models over there. The second set is what’s found attractive more in the west look at the Instagram models over here. This site isn’t a good representation of the wider public as most of the guys here are the same type of dude clearly
@HawkPerception I think it’s more male gaze vs female gaze because most girls would rather be the second and most guys prefer the first for some reason. And it’s dumb how they say A is more natural when in fact it’s more makeup + surgery, it’s just more natural passing due to the lack of lashes lol
@NoNamexx Upon closer inspection, I see what you're saying, but I guess in this case it's about the illusion. Both girl types are not "my type" but in the first option, the girls appear to use less makeup, unless you inspect closely or are a girl and can easily see the contouring at a glance.
Fact of the matter is that truly attractive girls don't use much makeup. They just look good naturally. No nails polished, no caked up face.
I’d say they’re about wearing the same amounts but different styles. A uses foundation way lighter than their skin tone but still somehow keeps it natural looking, B uses the same natural skin tone. B wears bigger lashes and some eyeliner but there’s less contouring compared to A (aside from the girl on the bottom right)
The majority of girls wear makeup whether you notice it or not those girls on the top not only are wearing makeup but they also probably had plastic surgery which would reduce the need for makeup. You’re just saying you prefer natural looking makeup. A girl not wearing makeup vs natural looking makeup is a pretty big difference nobody is flawless

I'd say Asian beauty standards for overall beauty and "Western" beauty standards for natural beauty as the girls you showed look very natural. If I had to pick one, it'd be the Asian beauty standards.

I think the bottom ones are prettier because I don't know I grew up with popular girls who looked like that and they’d always be rich and loved by everyone and I wish that was me lollll. The top ones are more plastic by the way because in Korea and other East Asian countries, they do a lot of that lol the bottom ones, on the top left girl got a nose job. But the rest are natural besides the makeup

LOL option A is way more makeup (just looks more natural because it lacks colors, eyeshadow) option B is just mainly lashes (besides that bottom right girl) but when I meant western I just mean like typically dyed hair with western styled makeup. And A is more like the K beauty makeup look. But yeah I’d assume most people would like the less makeup type of person but I didn’t include that here.

Not all of them check jisoo she don't have done any plastic surgery and is perfect example of Asian beauty standard in all ways. It is just entertainer are more like to do plastic surgery in all countries I mean look matter so much in these industry example you are a talented singer and not attractive than you will probably do plastic surgery so people like you that's how it is.
The first group are a bit more natural looking.
S. Korea tends to be quite heavy on plastic surgery to my understanding (they rank fifth in the world as far as plastic surgery). Some families even pool their wealth so that their daughters can get plastic surgery. It is less so the case in some other Asian countries, but S. Korea is pretty happy to put young women under the scalpel.
China and Japan here as well. Although not quite as high as Brazil or the US. But I think especially among pop idols, plastic surgery tends to be popular in Asia. It might explain why I don't like pop idols so much in J-Pop or K-Pop or things like that. They all look kind of the same to me.
