I've always had trouble finding the right bra size bc they usually get really uncomfortable, but I recently found that I'm closer to a 34E/32F rather than a C/D cup :x

Hi. I am a guy that has learned a lot about bra sizing and incorrect bra fitting by store bra retailers since joining GAG.
Take a look at the following myTake from 22evie—and the abratthatfits calculator that is mentioned by her—who has since left GAG…
The way sizes are figured is totally inconsistent between the makers, the women often get misled about sizes, and the men don't have a chance trying to figure it all out. One more point to be put on the side of not even wearing a bra, which most women probably do not really need.

I wore the wrong size (32A) all my life due to being measured incorrectly by multiple 'professionals'. I found my actual size (26E) when I measured myself (with the help of the abrathatfits calculator). It was mind-blowing! Pretty much everyone I know wears the wrong size.
i was complaining to my friend and she told me that i probably wear the wrong size - she told me the same; most people wear the wrong size. i was pretty shocked tbh
@Gagname No I'm not, but 32A to 26E is a very common jump when people find out their real size. Similarly, 32AA to 28D, 32B to 28E. It's because of a thing called the plus 4 method. Most people have been sized incorrectly using this method, so if you reverse the plus 4 method from 32B, you get 28E (true size), and so on. Similarly, a lot of people who previously wore 34C, end up being 30F. People who previously wore 32DD, end up being 28G.
Ok, you weren’t 22evie and there’s a lot of mis-fitting going on; I’m sure it’s across the spectrum for women, but to me it seems to be more common for women with smaller rib cages.
@Gagname Actually 90% of women are incorrectly fitted whether small or large framed. However, when it comes to smaller framed women it's more common to be in a band size that's too large and a cup size that's too small, whereas with larger framed women often the band size tends to be right, but the cup size tends to be way too small. It's such a pity
What’s interesting is that “According to the results of a 15-year study in France…bras provide no benefits to women and may actually be harmful to breasts over time” and “found that women who did not use bras benefited in the long term, developing more muscle tissue to provide natural support.”
Although I’m a guy and never worn a bra myself, I am aware of the stabilizing (and nipple covering) effects that sports bras/bras in general provide, and the below article provides some “Hey not so fast” comments—such as: “it’s not clear if the researcher looked at women who only had smaller breasts, which don’t sag as much over time…”
@Gagname there's VERY little to support that study, pretty sure it's the only one of it's kind. As far as I know, wearing bras isn't bad for you, and likewise, not wearing bras isn't bad for you. It's only bad when you wear the wrong size, which most women do.
Yeah, it’s gotta be so uncomfortable wearing the wrong size bras.
Also, although bras provide more modesty and are needed for athletic activities and help minimize back & chest pain, I’m a big supporter of “Free the Nipple” for women who are open to that…I certainly “appreciate” it :) And I found an article which paradoxically says…
“Contrary to popular belief, there is no scientific evidence whatsoever that wearing a bra keeps breasts from sagging” says Laura Tempesta, ‘a bra expert with a master’s degree in lingerie design’…[sagging] over time is caused by age and gravity and occurs whether one wears a bra or not.”
i talked to my friend about how uncomfortable my new bra was and when i told her my size, she said i probably had the wrong size. she helped me measure and found my right size :)

Wearing the right size bra makes a huge difference in being comfortable, and many women don't actually wear the right size. While it may be slightly uncomfortable to be fitted for a bra, knowing she wearing the right size is a wonderful thing
Personally none, but I have several friends whose entire experiences with bras have been radically different since getting actually fitted and wearing the proper size for their body
I would say C Cup Probably for You though I prefer ny sisters A to B Cup Omg that is just wrong I cannot dig my hole any deeper Lol unless it bottoms out from under me Sonkhole comming in 5 3 2 1 🍒🍆😷
Many stores carry an extremely narrow size range. Most of us fall outside of this size range. Rather than telling people 'your size is x and we don't carry x so I suggest going to a different store such as...' they just put you in the closest size that they can find, to make sales.

No, this is the reason most people wear the wrong size. Way better to measure yourself. All it requires is a measuring tape, anyone can do it. The professionals do it wrong to make more sales.
