+1 yYou have two constants, Time and Gravity. The bigger the boobs the more they will sag if you do not wear a bra. Multiple lady friends that I know, they range in age from 40-55, all have what I would call teenager boobs and every single one of them said it was because they always wore a bra. The older women I know that have saggy boobs have either went braless or they just have big boobs. I am thinking that yes, wearing a bra will help you have nicer boobs when you get to be middle aged.

Aging. As a woman gets older, the ligaments that make up the breast tissue stretch and lose elasticity. As a result, breast fullness is compromised as the underlying support system of tissue and fat diminishes. A change may be particularly evident during menopause.
Gravitational pull. Years of gravitational pull takes its toll, especially on women with larger breasts.
Lack of proper support. Wearing a supportive bra is important to maintaining breast shape and lift. “Lack of proper support will take its toll over a 30- to 40-year period. I highly recommend women get professionally fitted for a supportive bra at a lingerie or department store that offers this service,” Dr. Roseman says.
Smoking. Carcinogens in cigarette smoke cause elastin to break down in the body. These elastin fibers are responsible for skin elasticity throughout the body.
Sunburn. Ultraviolet rays damage the skin and cause loss of elasticity as well.
Weight gain. Major fluctuations in weight can cause unnecessary stretching of the breasts. Maintaining a healthy weight will help women avoid the progression of unnecessary stretching.

+1 yBreasts are breasts! Personally wouldn't bother me if my girlfriend wore a bra or not, aslong as she was comfortable. Always thought sagging was due to aging, as the whole body will start to show signs of it, and with guys too ofc, but it's natural! As a guy I imagine bras can get uncomfortable, especially in warmer weather but then hey, I don't wear bras so...

No they won't get saggy from not wearing bras. They get saggy because of aging. If anything not wearing bras will slow that down because you'll actually be using the muscles that hold your breast tissue upm

Breast sagging is one of the many natural body changes women experience as they age. The female breasts are made of fat and ligaments, but lack muscle tissue, so there is no amount or type of exercise that will strengthen the breasts. However, according to Barry Roseman, M. D., a Piedmont breast surgeon and surgical oncologist, if women are aware of the contributing factors, they can take preventive measures to avoid excessive sagging.

@johnsmithjs "Dr. Blake says wearing a bra doesn’t prevent your breasts from sagging and not wearing one doesn’t cause your breasts to sag.
“Wearing a bra doesn’t affect the risk of breast sagging, or what is called “breast ptosis.” It also won’t impact the shape of your breasts"

"One of the few research projects to provide any kind of conclusion was a 15-year study completed in 2013 by Jean-Denis Rouillon, a professor in France.
In his research, he concluded bras provide no benefits to women and might actually be harmful to breasts over time.
Rouillon said his study involving 300 women ages 18 to 35 showed that women who did not wear bras developed more muscle tissue to provide natural support.
He added that the restrictive material of bras prevents tissue from growing and may actually encourage breasts to sag." - +1 y
I guess it is like anything else, everyone has their own opinion. So what doctor do you believe or what study do you believe since there are opposing studies. I for one do not have a dog in this fight since I have pecks and not breasts. The one thing I do know is that all the women, ages 40-55, that I have dated fall into two catagories. Woman with saggy boobs and women with perky boobs.
If the woman I date have perky boobs at 50 years of age then I make sure I compliment them and tell them that they have the boobs of a hot teenager. Thier reply has always been the same, "I have always taken care of the girls making sure I always wear a good fitting bra".
I will take the opinion of a 50 year old woman that has awesome boobs over a young lady that has not had 50 decades of experience. - +1 y
I just looked up the doctor you stated. He is a sports medicine doctor and his study has never been published or peer reviewed. That basically means he was talking out his ass. The only published and peered reviwed studies about this subject say that wearing bras help prevent breasts from sagging.
- +1 y
Notice I stated helps prevent sagging but does not fix or prevent sagging. The best way to have non-saggy boobs is to have small boobs. Age and gravity will always cause boobs to sag, the bigger the boobs the more they will sag.

@johnsmithjs exactly age is the biggest factor. Wearing or not wearing a bra won't make that much of a difference. Though in myself as a larger chested lady I have noticed since I stopped wearing bras as often my boobs are perkier.

If you are large-breasted and you do athletic things I suggest you always wear a properly fitted sports bra. The majority of all damage done to the breast tissue is during athletic events, anything that causes your boobs to flop up and down for prolonged periods of time. like I said, I do not have boobs but I would just think it would hurt to go jogging bra-less, expecially if you have larger breasts.

I get it, I like to go commando also but I would never go commando while I was doing anything athletic. I want my boys secured and not flopping around.

@johnsmithjs yes of course I still wear them when exercising but just walking around day to day I don't
+1 yI have said it before and will say it again, if you are wearing the right size bra you wires don't dig. I wear bras all the time and I can wear them 24 hours if I had too.

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yI always thought that not wearing bras would cause my boobs to sag but when I went in for a mammogram last week the tech said that wasn't true. Since then I've gone bra less all the time and my girls have never been happier.

So you believe a tech over science and doctors. The boobs do not have any muscle support and the bigger the boobs the more they will sag with age. It is called time and gravity.
+1 yBras outside the house, no bras inside the house so that the husband can reach the boobs easily 😁
