The question is confusing because "sex appeal" is a subjective term. Hot men and women mostly attract the other gender. Therefore, aren't their appeals and market mutually exclusive. However, on an absolute scale, hot women are by far more "appealing" because normally men date down and women date up, so if there is a woman whose sex appeal is already very high, she's not going to settle for a man who has lower value.
A very attractive women can be dumb as doornail, have a personality of turnip, be as bitchy as a harpy, have more debt than the US deficit, be as lazy as a slug, be crazier than a shithouse rat and she will STILL get men to swoon over her, enable her and kiss her ass. She also still gets to use the “oh but I’m a victim of patriarchy” card if things don’t go her way.
Women can be suckers for good looking men but nowhere near vice versa. A good looking guy gets a 200 yard head start in the mile race for dating. A good looking girl gets start halfway to the finish line.
Men are partially to blame for this. We get really stupid around good looking women. Not just for sex but also for ego and bragging rights.
Very attractive woman is subjective. Your zero could be someone else’s 10. Not many people are aware of what conventional beauty is. For instance Salma Hayek and Aishwarya Rai have conventionally beautiful faces whereas Selena Gomez is not beautiful. She is not a conventional beauty but a lot of boys seem to be attracted to her. That’s their taste but not everyone’s cup of tea still.

@Lyubyets hayek and Rai are also actresses. Hayek is way too short and chubby to be a catwalk model and Aishwarya is a little to short to walk the ramp at 5’5 but they both have conventional faces. By conventional beauty I was meaning the face. Aishwarya had a slim hourglass body in her prime which made her absolutely ideal beauty in the eyes of men in general.

No. I think physical beauty is just that. It depends in meeting a criteria and has nothing to do with personality. If your personality stinks it just stinks.
@Sarahr123 you should put more effort into understanding the male POV from this. Yes not all guys will unanimously agree a woman is attractive. But a woman’s personality will have less of an impact on the visual stimulus about we feel about her vs. how women view an attractive man. Women go nuts over good looking guys who are very talented at something (musicians, actors, athletes, etc.). Men on other hand will not show up in droves to see good looking women perform at concerts. We are not “groupies”
Also I don’t get it why straight women argue with straight guys on which women are attractive or not. Unless you are bi/lez why would your opinion matter? You don’t see straight guys doing vice versa.
I know what men generally find attractive in women based on science and evolution and I use conventional beauty standards for a woman’s face and body as a parameter to judge this. I don’t care what few men will differ on the matter because it doesn’t affect me as I have a slim hourglass figure and conventional facial features.
@Sarahr123 can we all admit that attractive western women are among the most príveleged people on earth? They might have to deal with annoying (and sometimes scary) people hitting on them and even stalking them. They also got to deal with other jealous women who backbite and bicker.
However the benefits of being an attractive women especially in a so called “equal” society are just insane. Men can not get by with just looking good but women can.
Yeah I agree with you 100%. I have found that life has always been easy for me because I am a woman and even more so because I have always had a rail thin physique with a perfect waist to hip ratio and full bust. I have gotten away with a lot of things because of it and I never realised because I never thought how difficult life would have otherwise been. I think being a man is a lot harder. The hard things about being a woman is pretty much just childbirth and the other things that come with being biologically female. There is a lot of mental pressure on girls to look perfect but other than that I think life is definitely tougher for men in its own way.

Just be mindful when you reject men. Nothing is worse when a woman leads a guy on then ghosts him, confidently friendzones him or rejects thinking he can get another viable date as easy as she does. I’ve had all that happen to me and it’s more insulting then women realize. Instead takes an extra moment to think things through from his position. Be tactfully honest and respectful.
I find myself more open minded to the problems women deal with when I they are mindful of what men have to endure. There is as a reason why we have 4 times the suicide rate because unlike what you hear from feminists our lives are not a carefree bed of roses.
by the way I was one of those really “cute” and athletic guys in my 20s. I was a fitness model at one point. I was no young Brad Pitt but I did have multiple girls tell me I was attractive.
But I was often lonely because I wasn’t very outgoing and I don’t like fake conversation. I did on occasion get approached by women but most of that time it was up to me to make a move. Being good looking made women more receptive but still I had to have some game. Good looking women often have zero game because everything is so easy in the early stages of dating for them.
I never do anything to hurt anyone. I have two younger brothers so I would never do to someone else’s son what I wouldn’t want for any boy or man that I care about. I believe in karma and these things can be dangerous.
I have never thought that being pretty meant that I shouldn’t have anything else going for myself. I am not really a frivolous person and at 23 I have only had one long term relationship that lasted seven years.
I sympathise with men and all the pressures they face in this world. To be very honest, if I were to come back to earth again then I wouldn’t want to reincarnate as a man. I’m too coward to come here as a man. Men are expected to be warriors and never be scared even at a really young age and it’s so much pressure. Men have so much more expected of them whereas girls are pampered from birth until old age. I mean yeah there is misogyny, there are mean words directed towards women, there is mental torture and there is childbirth, periods and other diseases one can encounter because they’re a biological female however I don’t think the pressures compare to being a man. People think it’s OK to be rough with boys and men. They always say things like it’s disgusting and inhumane to kill women and children but what about men? Are their lives not important? Why isn’t it equally disgusting to kill men? Why to men have to bear the brunt for everything and everyone?

We need more women like you speaking up about this crap. Most men aren’t rapists or abusers. Most men hate rapists and abusers. But when are constantly getting blamed for everything and labeled “creeps” if we do something wrong we get bitter and jaded. Have to say I 150% agree that women complaining about how women are treated in Western society makes no sense. In rural parts of LOC’s women are genuinely treated worse than cattle and there they have full rights to complain but not here. Obviously there are oppressed minorities where women are treated terribly in the West but most decent men condemn such behaviour.

From a sociological standpoint especially involving marketing, attractive women are used way more often. I think it's because women tend to be more approached. People are either attracted to her or want to find out how they are that attractive (for example complimenting clothes, shoes, makeup, so on).
Nothing against an attractive man, just an either or.

Women by far. Women don’t have body hair as men/guys do. A woman’s figure, her breasts, her make up, her feminine features is more alluring. Girls/women may say guys are sexy but I tend to fight that guys let themselves go more often, guys have a tendency to eat more and gain more weight. Even I admit I gotta lose 20 pounds. Me having a double chin doesn’t help my cause, I have weight in the wrong places and I can’t stand taking pics. I’ve noticed I gotta eat healthier, I need to sleep more, I need to drink more water and cut out bad fats, sweets and sodium. Because in pics it seems like I have a resting mitch face, tired, and disinterested 🙄
Women by a huge margin , this is biology , as females have the much greater initial reproductive role and risk. A mediocre woman will still ace what may be considered an attractive man. Men have to tick far more boxes to be considered attractive to women , than vice versa. An average woman could get a man in minutes , anytime , if she chose to. An attractive woman would be sick to the back teeth of male attention !!

Attractive woman. Firstly: I am straight so my answer is logical. Secondly: girls aren't as dumb as guys. They wouldn't spend hours and hours on some social media watching one girl. Guys do from my own experience (I don't do it but as I can see on a few Instagram profiles a lot of guys do it). So very attractive girl can take attention of many guys.
Attractive women have less sex appeal because there are so many of them. They're a dime a dozen. Therefore, there's less urgency to have sex with them.
Attractive men have more sex appeal because they are rare. Most men are average or ugly (from what I've heard.)
I think it depends where you live. If you live in major cities there can be hot men everywhere. I see a lot of tall hot men where I live in Sydney Australia. So it’s all perspective.
That's very true. Where you live makes a difference. I used to live in DC and there were a TON of beautiful women. I took them for granted.

Haha yesss I have gone through phases of feeling asexual too. Lately I have been watching a lot of Netflix and they have been casting some fantastically hot men in the lead roles to most tv shows now.. so that helps push me out of that phase lol

Attractive women. Attractive women get approached more than attractive men would. As people don't always have the confidence to approach attractive men.
I think for woman if you anything slightly attractive guys will come rushing in.
I found with men, they need to really be attractive. But if they are woman really go crazy for them. More so than guys from what I have witnessed.

Attractive women should unanimously be the answer. There isn't a single part of the female body that isn't sexualized. Both men and women are arroused but beautiful and sexy women. A woman's Face, Boobs and Butt conquers the world. No matter how attractive a guy is, u'll NEVER find a straight heterosexual man that is aroused by him.
I think both i think i depends on the eye that is looking. For a man a woman looks sexier unless he is bi or gay, and a straight woman will think s man's body is sexier again unless she is not a lesbian or bi

I think very many underestimate the really attractive man , he has a great deal of appeal , just a little more subtle..
Female attraction to men is much less straight forward than male attraction to women though. So what is a traditionally attractive man might have lots of women notice him but they might not be attracted to him. I don’t really think there’s even a real comparison, even an average woman has more sex appeal than an attractive man.
