Why do you think Europeans seem to have a much better sense of style and fashion then Americans?

Europeans.

French.

Italian.

Russian.

Americans.

Americans.

What do you think is the cultural reason behind this.

This photo above is extreme but it is not out of the ordinary to see people wearing camouflage or gym clothes even though the occasion doesn’t call for it.

Europeans also seem to care more overall about how they present themselves including being in good shape and having proper etiquette.

Men's purses, socks with sandals, and fanny packs are not more fashionable. You've chosen well dressed people vs. not well dressed people which has nothing to do with the countries in question, its not a fair comparison.

I will state however that the US is far more laid back culturally and as such it allows people a lot more freedom in clothing styles, their is less social pressure and as a result while their are plenty of well dressed and well styled americans (seems stupid to suggest otherwise), we are less likely to put emphasis on clothing as we are culturally less focused on class (for almost all of european history classism has been a thing, it still is to an extent. This meant that fashion was very important to distinquish you from the "common rabble". This mind set never existed in the US to any great capacity and even less so now.).

The family shown in the bottom photo are on their way to go turkey hunting (that is the camo pattern) and stopped by WalMart, probably to pick up shotgun shell's.

While it may seem odd in countries (or Blue States) where citizens/subjects aren't allowed to posses firearms (or are heavily restricted), it's no big deal here in Florida.

As for the rest of the photos, I see nothing especially stylish. The suits those two guys are wearing would look so out of place in the region where I live that it's laughable.
