Ideas for an appropriate work Halloween costume?

I used to work at a children's museum, and we had to dress up for the entire month of October. I'm pretty sure the guidelines they told us would apply to most work places...
1. kid friendly
2. no dead people, or characters with blood/guts
3. you can only wear cultural garb if you are part of that culture
4. no political costumes
5. nothing sexual, too short/too tight

So with that in mind, food costumes, animals, Queen, Disney characters, pun costumes (think "Dunkin Donuts" dressed as a basketball player, wearing a donut), classic monster costumes...and you should be fine.
