Why are non black people so fascinated by afro hair?

When I wear my hair out sometimes I always get where people saying it looks really fluffy and soft and giving compliments.

I don’t get where it’s coming from cause I don’t do much for my hair to look like that 😅

I always assumed people would think poorly of my natural hair because not many people have hair as curly as mine but I have rarely gotten any negative comments which is nice :)

Because it's beautiful. They may admire that type of hair and, if they've never had the opportunity to experience it, I'm sure they DO want to see if it's as soft as it looks and feel the fluffiness. It's not that unusual, though, for people to want to touch a woman's hair when it's beautiful, healthy and shiny.
Women, in particular, are fascinated by beautiful hair colors and textures. They are always experimenting with changing their hair to something different from what they naturally have. Lots of women with straight hair want it curly, and women with curly hair want it straight.

I think for some people it's because it's nor the type if hear they normally see. For some it also might be because they do a a lot to make their look somewhat like that. So they end up a bit jealous of it. Though I'm jealous of anyone that has a full head of hear and their head isn't a lumpy scarred mess. My hair has been thinning for years and I had to go through several serious surgeries after a head injury. Complain about having a bad hair day around me and I might tell you to fuck off.

Im not sure. I am white and I have very curly hair — afro type, but I grow it long. Many people are infatuated and fascinated by the fact that curly/coily hair looks soft and fluffy. It’s not typically an offensive thing, people just like to see and curious about it. It’s a cool thing; curl patterns are unique and can be styled in so many ways. Non Black… (or whatever) people usually have wavy or straight hair… they aren’t used to curls like we are, it’s something different to them, and they want to know what it feels like. It’s genuine curiosity…

I have that type of hair and many ex friends of mine were jealous just recently I had to end a friend with a jealous friend because she was hating on my hair and I didn't appreciate that. I'm a Latina with big curly beautiful hair and I try my best to take care of it.

Don't worry your hair is beautiful and you should wear it natural more often I stopped straightening my hair too because of the damage but just don't do it anymore and use aunt Jackie's curly hair products and you should be fine there's also YouTube videos you can watch too so it will help with your wash and go's 💜

It’s beautiful, if i find something beautiful i always give a compliment. Whether someone has straight, curly or 4c hair.
Afro hair is beautiful, if you live in a country where there are mostly white people or people with straight hair, then it stands out even more. That way you’re most likely to get compliments, it’s not that odd :).

Constantine wanted to immortalize his son and he is the one who started The white Jesus portraits. Doesn't have anything to do with race that's The artist depiction of Constantine's son.

Well If I had to place blame I would place it on the Roman Catholic Church for preserving such a tradition. Back then their church was a part of the government and vice versa. So you got to understand the Vatican is the Roman Catholic Church and a government in itself so keeping this picture up would be like the same thing as having a picture of John Adams with his family in the White House. This is the tradition of their country and government. I think they definitely shouldn't use the image anymore and I can't speak for all churches but all churches in the US then are Protestant that I have been to do not teach that Jesus was white. We don't talk about that subject because it's secular nonsense. But we do believe that he was the race of the people from the region he was born in, and also the race of the people whose lineage can be traced back in the Bible so I really don't see why there's even a question especially since his lineage is right there, and certainly David and Adam were not white. When people say "the devil is a lie" this is what they were talking about.

Same reason why black people are so fascinated by straight hair. It's called mindset. If by any chance you are living in a western country then black people are the minority therefore it is not usual for anyone to see afro hair so they get fascinated by it. It doesn't make much difference if a white person with non afro hair goes to Africa and people there get fascinated by it

As a dark skin Dominican male black women get obsessed with my hair. I am Afro but I have a different texture. I always get asked where I’m from, an I touch your hair. Even my sisters and strippers love running their fingers through my hair. Latin women don’t get obsessed with my hair lol
