Denim skirts, yay or nay?

I seem to remember reading just recently that the denim look is making a return, however I'm not sure that I would want to wear any again... Not only that I must have thrown or given away all my denim outfits (jackets & skirts) years ago.

Of course I don't mind you asking, I used to occasionally wear either a denim jacket or skirt with various other outfits, but very seldom did I ever wear a matching outfit... But you need to remember this was way back in my mid to late teens.

Since an another commenter brought this up: how do you feel about slim fit denim skirts vs loose more flowy denim skirts?

Nonsense, take a close trusted girlfriend with you and go and try one on, at least then you would get a very honest opinion from her.

Oh I already did.
While I old denim outfits don't fit me that well so I want shopping with a few friends.
I wouldn't call myself fat by any means, just above average weight, but I have a pear shape which made slim fit skirts a pretty bad fit, they just make my lower body look larger (drawn more attention to the thickness).

It's pretty obvious you are extremely conscious and have insecurities about both your weight and body/figure... Why not try to be just a little more confident and assertive, perhaps even start considering investigating some weight loss programs.

Tho you might have got the wrong idea regarding my weight.
Due to relationship reasons I can't really lose weight, but I think a like 26-27BMI isn't bad.
It's only my shape that tends to be a problem but only when it comes to fashion, otherwise I don't have a problem with it.

As for the relationship/weight stuff, my partner prefers "heavier girls" as he put it. (like... chubby, not obese)
I'm actually used to be quite slim/toned 2-3 years ago. (Used to be a pretty good long distance runner.)

Gosh! I do hope you won't mind me being absolutely frank in saying that you really shouldn't allow your Partner/SO to dominate or control you in such a fashion... Putting it quite simply, he should just accept you as you are/were, after all, it was just as much his choice to be with you, as it was for you being with him.

Ah don't worry it's not like I don't have a say in things. Like this is something we agreed on, and put my current weight as "this is what I feel comfortable enough with, anything more than this is a no-go"

Yay, very attractive and women tell me they're comfortable. Denim skirts (like jeans) are fine for casual wear, but something less casual should be worn for formal occasions.

I have a few denim skirts, but nothing calf/ankle length. Mine are around mid-thigh or slightly longer, I have one that comes a few inches above the knee. They are very much my "go to" for the summer, or for slobbing around the apartment in general. Very very easy just to team with a t-shirt and trainers, and very comfy/easy to wear.

First it's just not my style. But I also think they are less comfy than regular ones. Especially with longer ones like on your pictures they also feel l heavier.
But I'm also not much into wearing jeans pants. The ones I have are more like jeggings.

But I don't mind the look on others (but still thinking a regular skirt looks nicer). Just not wearing any myself
