I'd say the fashion industry is the curse on women. Over the decades they have brainwashed women into believing they have to look a certain way (like hair and makeup), dress a certain way (like bras are necessary which they are not), and in some cases act a certain way (way you must walk in certain shoes). IMHO, women need to do what they feel to look, dress and act comfortably regardless what the fashion industry and grandma said they should be like.

Indeed, these day's tho it's mostly just women putting the curse on themselves. If they all stopped what they were doing and started just doing what men do. The curse would be gone.
It's pretty easy to do aswell, Just stop using makeup, don't buy multiple pair's of shoes, and whatever you do don't take 10mins or more thinking about what dress to wear.

Makeup has been around at least 7,000 years. In the ancient world the girls that chose the eye liner and shadow got much further than those that didn't. Thus they all started using cosmetics. It's the mating strategy to appear as healthy and youthful as possible to attract men. The same way women like really tall, fit, wealthier men. There's a different burden here as most men don't actually care about the careers of women. We are driven be instinct to a great degree. Can she give me many healthy babies? Even when men don't want kids our lizard brains force attraction on us for that reason. It's unfortunate but it is what it is.

I disagree I think women have the power to do whatever they want to do but when it comes to Fashion they all have to be the most beautiful witch there's nothing wrong with that at all but I think in striving to be thanks the Joneses are there their friends at work did they have created this fashion industry it's out of control because you're eating at bar trees do you know if everything were using all our natural resources for everything anyway but anyway I think if women were more of a leader and took more of a stance and you said no I'm not going to buy that I think a lot of things would change but I'm not the guy that's going to tell a woman she cannot do what she wants to do I love clothes but I love who the woman is on the inside even more clothes don't really make a woman women with beautiful women can do whatever they want but I think they have created this on their own

Fashion is one of the most powerful artforms for any person. Fashion isn't the problem its the double standards of beauty that dictate how women are always supposed to look polished and perfect and men can be slobs or boring with their clothing.

It can be for many. It depends on their approach. If they are happily embracing it they'll probably spend more time on it and turn more heads to their advantage. They can gain a lot of power with it. Weak men grovel with their wallets out to them at all ast short term. Now on the other hand maybe she banks on all that and then failed to develop her character and long term she winds up alone because she's so unlikable and we all get old and less attractive some day.

I have often found out and witnessed that women who have issues with their looks, would have issues either way, or also have them on other aspects of their lives, "fashion" wasn't the cause but just another trigger
