Do you ever feel awkward wearing sport teams clothing?

Question

I always do sometimes I just like the logo but I know nothing about the team. It's so awkward when someone tries to talk to me about the sports team on my hat or shirt and I know nothing. But I still wear what I want anyways. Does anyone know the team on my hat? It is one of my favourite teams because you can go around and say "I love BJs" LOL

The logo on your hat doesn't look familiar. I don't feel awkward about sports teams. I've been a Pittsburgh Steelers fan most of my life, but the Steelers always had that boring logo and black and gold colors. I always liked the Kansas City Chiefs logo, and decided to become a Chief fan. I know the Chiefs have Patrick Mahomes, they won the Super Bowl a couple of times, and their first coach was Hank Stram, one of the greats and a sideline card.  I like that logo

Actually yes I do.

I hate to promote sports teams or professional sports because it sickens me to think about the money and voice we give these pampered athletes in society these days.

How much of that money really goes back to the fans or communities... nah I don't do it any more. They all make enough money, why give them more than they deserve when you can buy a better hat for half as much.

Wearing the logo still makes for great opening lines even if you don't know about the team. Guys aren't going up to you because they want to talk sports. When they ask, tell them that you just like the logo. Follow up with a question for them. "You must be a fan, then?" keeps the ball rolling.

I have never heard any actual Blue Jays fan use their initials. If you were a legit fan you'd know they're nicknamed "The Jays". As for wearing team logos, I actually know a fair bit about the team unless it's like Stanley Cup champion Blues. First of all, I didn't buy the shirt (my girlfriend's mom did) second, it was just because they won.

As a fan, it's pretty awkward when I'm wearing the visiting team's jersey and we're getting crushed. The home team fans are ruthless picking on a visiting team fan, especially when the visiting team is losing.

I’ve never been into sports but yes I would if I did wear it. I had a beer shirt that would always get comments (I only like whisky). It got so annoying I donated it haha

You're literally wearing sports teams merchandise without even knowing anything about it. That's just as bad as girls that wear band merchandise without knowing anything about the bands. So, of course you feel awkward. It's a ridiculous thing to do.
