There is like a lot of media focused industries, abuse of those trying to enter the industry. This goes on with all the age range of the fashion industry.

then there is the body image side of things, with the need to keep a specific industry driven shape, often at a high impact to your overall mental and physical health,

Then there is the drugs and exploitation to make money, to advance careers etc.

that is just the models.

then there are the clothes, these are produced often by very low paid people in poor countries.

There is a huge environmental impact from dyes and chemicals used to produce clothing.

Then there is the global waste from clothing, the majority of which are polymer based,

For the models, it’s physical, sexual and mental abuse including drugs, nutritional problems.

for the world, it’s the environmental impact on the globe.

for society, it’s the fact the elephant in the room is that the reason those jeans, skirt, top, dress were so cheap is that they are produced in a 3rd World country and or by very low paid workers who are abused as well.

I think the dark side is that they starve the girls to maintain their perfect silhouettes... And some are escorts for rich (wealthy) people.
