I haven't. However I do have a nose ring. I did this out of traditional roots to my Taino Indian indigenous background.

I think the reason is that some people are afraid they might look like they have a hint of class and want to make sure everyone knows they are pure trash. Personally I like it when morons clearly identify themselves so I don't have to waste time treating them like a person with a brain. A snot catcher is a nice clear sign.
