No, it doesn't look stupid. I see a lot of people with septum pericing. You're 17, so enjoy creating your own style.

No matter how you look, how you dress, or what you do and say in life, you'll be judged by someone for it. So don't chose your life decisions, choices and preferences based on other people's negative opinions. Don't let your brother's opinions control your decisions and choices. That's just his opinion. I have to be honest. The first time I saw one my thought was of a bull with the ring in his nose to be lead around with. It took me a while to see it as jewelry but now I am okay with it and some are even cute on a girl. Same with the piercing in the nose. Did it hurt when you had it done?

It depends on the company. Older people may not like it and some religious freaks might not. Your employer also may not like anything but ears pierced. But some people might find it sexy.

1. Yes. They look stupid. Looks like a cow. A single or even a double (two on one side) nostril piercing is cute. But this bar/hoop through the center looks dumb on everyone. It doesn't matter whether the person is attractive. It also shows me that the person has a bad sense of style.

2. I've seen chicks with a small butterfly or flower tattoo in the CORNER of her eye or upper side of her neck. It's cute. A small tattoo in the CENTER of her face or neck would NOT be cute. Why? ****The human face is NOT symmetrical. Putting any foreign object in the center of a face will always offend the senses of people who see it.**** Note: Though it can be cute, I don't recommend face/neck tattoos of any kind unless you work in the arts.

3. Some people are saying do what makes you happy but that's just a stupid internet answer. What would make you happy is being attractive to as many people as possible, otherwise you wouldn't have made this posting. And that's okay, we all want to be seen as attractive. I'm hoping that it helps to know that the majority of people will not find the piercing attractive for the above 2 reasons. Go with a single nose piercing. I recommend your left side. It's super attractive. Subtle enough to wear in most work places, rare enough to make you seem edgy, and it's stylish. You can also go with a hoop through the nostril when you want to turn up the edginess.

Honestly it really only matters what you think and if you like it and think it looks good. But if you want other people’s opinions or curious what some guys/girls think I’d have to agree with your brother. It’s definitely my least favorite piercing. However besides that you are a cute girl even with the ring in.
