I percinaly don't think so I've seen enty of girls with it and they weren't trashy. Your appearance is what you make of it and the cubes that you give off is how people will perceive you. Don't get the piercing based on what we think and how we feel do bases on how you do if you like it and really want it then get it Ifyou think its trashy then change that wear it deifreently then how you see the trashy girls where like couple your look with glasses or i nice put together look then the oireceing will be associated with that and your confidence

They can be poorly done or tastefully done. I think it's harder to make a septum piercing tasteful than it may be for many other piercings but I don't think they're inherently trashy.

I think they only look trashy when people decide to stretch them and have them be huge. (I know some people do this culturally, but thats different)

  Well it's like this; I don't find septum piercings attractive, so I would question the person's judgement and wisdom for feeling comfortable wearing a nose ring like that to a professional meeting. If it was a stud, or even a small ring on one side of a woman's nostril, it would be different.
