I'm stuck between the black chained and the pink plaid, the first one looks more elegant and sophisticated but the latter looks more neutral (that it would go well with many outfits) and cute.

I am probably the only one suggesting the "White" bag, but when buying for someone else, unless you know the colors they like and the colors they wear, it is difficult to know THEIR choice. That is why I suggested the "Neutral" color. Real Estate agent told me the same about selling a house, in that no one can object to white. Let them repaint to their favorite color
