My hair is 30 inches in length currently which is butt length on me and I have been growing it ever since a big chop that I had in 2015.
It was 28 inches before my big chop and 5 inches after.
what’s your story?

This is a topic I’m passionate about so I’m probably going to ramble. I've been on a healthy hair journey recently. I have thick wavy/semi curly hair I use to hate it and refuse to wear it natural in public throughout majority of my teens. it didn’t matter if I was late for an event/school or just going to a corner store my hair had to be pin straight. People I had gone to school with for years didn’t even know I had textured hair. First time I wore it natural before cutting it was the end of grade 10. I kept getting compliments and people asking what I did to it. I was shocked cause I spent most years hating it. giving my hair consistent heat damage it caused a lot of breakage/split ends and was brittle. Back in 2020 I was looking at pics from previous years and loved how my hair looked when it was down to my hips looking at those pics made me realize that my hair had not been growing for at least a year. I had also bleached my hair a few times during 2020 so that didn't help. I wanted my hair hip length again but it was too dead to grow so I chopped it off to just above my shoulders (big deal cause I hate short hair). Now its currently past my boobs, the length it was originally at when I cut it. I’m assuming I still have 2 years still before it’s at the length I want. I rarely ever straighten it and when I do I use heat protection, haven’t dyed or bleached it and I give my hair a light trim every few months. It’s doing a lot better thankfully and is no longer a insecurity.
Yes girl !! So glad that you’re in a great place with your natural hair journey. I was the exact same way that why I had to cut it in the first place but I think once you realize how gorgeous your hair rlly is you start to love it for the way it is. Keep loving your hair !!
Also if you want any natural hair care products that could help on your journey I grew my hair a lot using essential oils like Bergamont and Avocado oil, I also used this African hair butter called Chebe butter which locks in moisture and stretch’s your hair which encourage growth, as well as Indian henna for hair. I also don’t watch it a lot. Hope those help 🙂
Down below my shoulders, and I cut it or trim every year to keep it the same way
I treat my hair like the grass in that yard. Every now and then It gets mowed off.
What's left of my hair is 1\4" long and I cut it off a couple weeks ago haha

I'm only 4'11" but I have extremely long natural pure platinum blonde (virtually white it's so blonde) super shiny extremely healthy hair that is much longer than I am tall. I also have the lightest brightest bluest eyes. My husband is very dark black and over 7' and my hair is much longer than he is tall. I have had hair longer than I am tall since I've been in preschool. I love my hair and men including my very dark sexy black husband love my hair. They live the length, color shininess and healthiness of my hair.
Buzz cut every month.
very long, and forever
