Fellas, how do you shave?

Straight razor, safety razor, hybrid, cartridge or electric? What kind of razor do you use to shave your face?
I upgraded a few years ago from cartridge to a safety razor for my face and a hybrid for my head. I strongly recommend you do the same; for quality of shave, overall cost and sustainability. Especially if you’re prone to razor bumps and razor burn! Get away from cartridges and learn to shave properly. You can thank me later!

I use a 5 blade razor for face and 3 or 4 elsewhere. For the face, it is pretty obvious that whenever they come out with an n blade razor, they destroy the quality of blades on the n-1 blade razor. Hence forcing you to move to the higher one everytime.

Then switch! There are some brilliant options for getting away from cartridges. I use the Leaf hybrid on my head. You can select the number of blades to use, one to three, and their relative position in the head. I think their safety razor would be superior for shaving my face too, but i’d already invested in a Merkur by the time i discovered Leaf. No regrets there though. Also a great product!

I use an electric razor. I don't feel comfortable with regular ones. My skin cuts pretty easily.

Electric razor. Sometimes there’s stray hair, so tweezer.

You might grow out of the electric. They stopped working for me in my early twenties. I’d get a ton of bumps and still a mediocre shave. Ell oh ell!

I might actually look into something that is longer lasting, like straight up waxing it.

I use electric but I’m thinking of switching to straight razor I feel like I could be more thorough with it

Straight razors are difficult to use well and safely. If you have the time for that, i think it would be awesome. I still cut myself occasionally with my safety razor, if i’m not slow and careful. My whole head would be bandaged every week if i tried a straight razor, i think. Ell oh ell!

Yea it is much harder it just takes a steady hand and patience it’ll be perfect for me because I’m a bit of a perfectionist

What kind though. Gillette makes cartridge razors and safety razors for sure, and i think they have straight razors too.
