Should I contemplate a man's choice in nail polish?

So when i look at people I can pretty much tell if they are freaks. long hair, obese, t shirt that says "Good vibes". and hand that have nail polish on them. I told this thing "You nail polish looks good on you". I think it was a a little embarrassed. I call it a thing because I don't know what it might identify as. I don't know if it was a woman or man so i call it a thing.

Anyone can wear nail polish. Male rockstars have been doing it for ages.

Oh, and we have a gender neutral word to refer to humans you don't know the gender of. You can just call them "people." "Thing" is actually less accurate in this instance. And if you need a pronoun, that's what they/them pronouns are for, and we've been using them for far longer than we've been discussing trans rights.

Lmao, the stereotype is true; damaged/messy hair, obese, good vibes clothes even if they look like their head is a mess, and tbh, almost always with nails that look like they were painted 2 months ago.

Yeah... calling someone (a living, breathing human being) an "it" is much more offensive then assuming the incorrect identity.

"They" works just fine.
