What is an minimum length of skirt or Pinafore (school uniform) at your school?

Hello Friends,

I was just curious to know your opinions on the question,

lets re-collect our school times memories.

so in my school we had a skirt and shirt as the uniform.

As i was the head-girl of my school so i had no restriction on length.

But our school had it in our Student Policy under the Uniform section.

It stated that the skirt length should not be more than 1-2 inches above knee's.

But all of our skirt were more than that once or twice teaches gave us the warning , but the weather here is always hot so they understood that it would be difficult for us to maintain that so they did not care after that.

So let me tell you about my skirt :- my skirt was like 3- 4 inches above knee's.

So friends do share your views.

At my old school I could wear miniskirt that came above my knees but not high over my upper thigh. I was in elementary school back then and besides it was a skort (a skirt with build-in shorts.

My School had no rules as it should be. Either there should be uniforms or no fucking rules at all as long as the students wear something.

Most just wore what you'd see people wear in the streets. Nothing special. I just remember one girl dressing rather sexy but she also wore the some clothes in her spare time. Some students would dress in alternate clothes but again the same what they'd wear outside of school. So in the end just like with people you'd see everyday on the streets there was a colourful mix with most not sticking out much

At my school we had a off white shirt and blue pleated skirt.

skirt length accordingly to school rules was till knees not shorter.

but no one at our school really cared about it, so my skirt length was 3 inches above knees.

We also had a rule to wear tight/ shorts underneath, but the weather in our country is too hot so sometimes we used to skip it..😜😜😜

They recently changed it here to just being "cover your butt" instead of any sort of specific measurement rule. I think that was smart, because nobody was following the 3 inches rule, or the fingertips rule, or the halfway down your thigh rule anyway. It's all thigh until you get to the butt, so those were always pretty arbitrary limits in my (and most students) opinion. It's not like the bottom 12 inches of thigh are any less appropriate than the bottom 3 inches of thigh. Just make sure you can't see up it when you sit, basically.

It was just a normal, fully lined, pleated skirt.

Both genders basically wore jeans and T's. Some girls wore dresses and skirts, plus some of the boys did to for a Halloween party
