Is it true women naturally have more hair than men?
Simple answer:Estrogen, in relation with DHT (Dihydrotestosterone), an androgen in simple terms made from testosterone, are the main factors in terms of hair growth and hair loss.
So basically if a person has higher estrogen levels than dht levels then that person will have healthy long hair, if the person has high dht levels compared to estrogen then you'll see less hair and the more extreme cases go to thinner and worse male pattern baldness.
Naturally, women have higher estrogen than dht and men have more dht than estrogen (the ones not getting bald are due to the fact that only very big margins of difference cause hair loss), but hormonal imbalances could happen to anyone which both men and women suffer from, a healthy man would have high testosterone balanced estrogen and a bit lower dht, DHT is the reason why steroid heads get bald by the way

We tried to get rid of this idea in he 60s and 70s. We succeeded pretty well, but the idea slowly crept back over the years since then.
Much of the reason for long hair on guys in the 60s/70s was a statement that people worry about trivial nonsense. It's just hair, so stop making such a big deal out of it.
I'm probably in a small minority of guys who would be perfectly OK dating a woman who completely shaves her head. A shaved head can actually bring out their features.
I think long hair looks better on men AND women. Well for men probably neck length. I guess it’s because it makes people look younger and also more hair=stronger genes or some sht like that :)
No, men have more testosterone which aids with hair growth. Men have Beards, thick eyebrows that I'm so jealous of and hair on their legs sometimes looks like leggings🤭

Men kept their hair short because they fought in wars, and it was hard enough to just survive the march to the war. Typically, there were more losses to diseases in camp, and to malnutrition/starvation, then were lost to the enemy. Hygiene was difficult to maintain, but vitally important.
Long hair for women has been a beauty standard in most cultures throughout human history. It's a sign of youth and health (read: fertility), so it was seen as highly attractive.I once read that everyone had long hair about 300 years ago, but when the revolution period started and nobles began being arrested and their wiggles confiscated, their hair was also cut very short, the people started copying them because even back then people copied celebrities and everyone cut their hair. It was also easier to take care of and more hygienic. With time, women grew their hair again, but men still wear it short
Masculinity, for the most part, is about function over form. Long hair gets in the way and is a pain to take care of. Short hair keeps its function, but doesn't need as much maintenence.
Femininity is more about form over function. High heels, long nails, long hair, makeup, nail polish, etc exist to look good even though they get in the way of anything physically functional.
Cause sexual dimorphism. And the fact women are ALWAYS F*CKING COLD for some reason! Hair helps with retaining heat (it's human fur, after all).
My man has long hair. Nothing feminine about him.
Longer hair can be styled in more ways and also leaves the person very vulnerable in case a fight occurs so it's feminine.
I guess I'm masculine then since my hair is shoulder length 💀
becaus masculine needs to fight and fighting with long hair is stupid
I think it depends on how you present yourself.
