in most cases, there should be no harm in using expired sunscreen...

but there's no benefits either, most sunscreens active ingredients are meant to last a couple of years, and after that they are just not going to be effective or as effective

if you use it one time it might not be that bad, but if you keep using an expired sunscreen (especially if it is years old) then you are defeating its whole purpose which is to protect your skin... it just won't protect your skin, and that would not be okay

Usually expired chemicals have some loss of efficacy, so the key is to reapply more often.

Also, spend the extra money for MINERAL based sunscreen which actually reflects the harmful rays. The chemical sunscreen actually converts the UVA and UVB rays to heat on your body. Check out Blue Lizard sunscreen.

I don't think it's a good idea. Expired sunscreen actually means that the product will no longer protect you and it increases your potential for sunburns, sun damage and skin cancer. But also, it depends on how long ago it expired. If it's just a few days or 1-2 months past the expiration date, , I don’t think it suddenly stops working, but it'll slowly start being less effective, so keep that in mind

It's no problem to use, if you "shake" it thoroughly (because the emulsion will have partly divided into oil/fat and water parts) and if you have no open wounds on your skin (because it might be no longer sterile, depending on storage temperature).

There's an expiration date on there for a reason. I'm assuming it's not as effective

Some products with expiry dates are best used before. I think somethings are ok to use. As far as you know this product has not compromised in one way or another.
