Is it useless to use lotions as they have alcohol in them which ages skin?

Not all lotions have alcohol in them.
Not all alcohol is bad. Fatty alcohols (cetyl, stearyl, cetearyl alcohol) are good for your skin. They do not cause dryness or irritation.

Perfumes are mostly a no-no. Luckily, there are a lot of brands that don't use fragrance in their products. What are you looking for?

I just am aiming to age well on not only my face but body too. I’ve always been told alcohol etc is bad for skin so was confused. I guess I just am looking for lotions or anything that’s good.

Honestly, whenever I use creams or lotions on my face and skin, it breaks out. I have a clear face and I only get acne when I use those. So I don't think it is a coincidence.
