Harry Styles: ''I am not a fan of the gender differentiation''. And he is one of the pioneers of this trend. What do you think about his style?
+1 yI been wearing nail polish over 30 years.
It all started when my oldest daughter turned 3 or so. Her mom would never let her paint her nails. So I would let her paint mine. I have 5 daughters and everyone them painted my nails. Over the years I ended up liked having them painted. I even painted them on my own sometimes.
Now my grandkids are painting my nails. I find it harmless, fun and great way to bond with your child.
Just the other day my daughter came over (now 32 years old) and she reached into her bag and started painting my nails. Like she did when was little. Durning the whole time she painted my nails we talked and drank coffee. We mostly talked about the old days and what's going on in her life now
So I see nothing wrong with a dad with painted finger nails

@Jennz6 I guess I been doing long before this Harry Styles guy. Who is that guy anyway

Your arguments are MUCH MORE convincing than ANYTHING Harry Styles could say or do. Children are a blessing and a gift!

@Guardian45 Harry does it so that people in the future won't be afraid to be themselves. That is what Harry said. Don't be on the wrong side of history man. You know inclusion will destroy anything in its path so get tf out the way.

+1 yBeen there done that. Didn't like the mess. But yeah that's been going on for ever basically, Harry Styles may be a pioneer of "normal" men doing it (which is a good step) but this shit isn't uncommon in many alt communities. Makeup nail polish peircings etc. It's only the regular dude bros who feel like they can't do it. Others know you can, and if people act like children about it that's their problem. Some adults will still gawk at a man in fuckin short heels and a choker like they're a toddler and he's a Disney princess lol. It's so stupid.

Plus when I was a kid I used to practice my nail art on my little baby cusion and he loved it. I used to paint is nails in his favourite football teams colours and it was just abit of harmless fun. There bigger issues facing men today then nail polish let people be who they wanna be as long as they aren't hurting anyone it's no one's business but there's

+1 yGoth guys wear make up and nail polish. Tall slim with dark hair usually it suits them, long black coat heavy boots and they look good. They even have girlfriends so I think this is a non issue if it's worn in a way he is able to pull it off. He can still look attractive.

Damn this thread is full so many hateful people.
Personally I like painting my nails, I'm into goth fashion so i will often paint my nails black or blood red. I have occasionally done style cosplaying characters like Uzui Tengen from Demon Slayer. I like doing it honestly don't give a damn about how others see me because of it. I've got tons of compliments for them and i know those people are the real ones and the only ones worth listening to.
A lot of guys seem to be too caught up in the idea of being a real man. Just do what makes you happy my guy, just remember to be a good person.22 Reply- +1 y
So many hatful people? So disagreement is hate. Copy.
931 opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic. I suppose it would make a good enough excuse to pummel the fucker as an affront to being male.
Harry Styles is hardly a bastion of masculinity. The simp would go transwoman if it means more followers and a pay check.
You need to be more careful of such people these days. They are more interested in themselves and their paychecks than any cause or views. They would happily sell their followers to the devil without much thought.

Wow. This dude is a nut.
I did once in the past, but for a specific reason. It was clear, I was performing on guitar (classical), and one of my right hand nails was starting to split so I did it to make it through the concert. In a situation like that I can understand it. Otherwise I see it is just trying to be trendy.

I don't see a problem with using clear polish or using a nail buffer if they otherwise look dull, like I do the latter all the time, because my nail clipper sucks.

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yIts a very bad idea, nail polish is frequently made with chemicals which are not good for boys.
But even if that were not true gender differentiation is very important to a functional population as the example of the demographically collapsing countries without it should make quite clear.
01 Reply- +1 y
Actually, clear nail polish has been used for years in old style barbershop manicursts. My uncle, who was a surgeon used to do it!
941 opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic. Gross. Unless you are in some play or something, and it is part of the costume, I am not a fan of feminizing men. Women love to celebrate this stuff, and in the same breath, they complain that they can't find a real man...

+1 yI simply don't care, and I think anyone who has a hissy fit over nail polish is a snowflake. The matter of what somebody puts on their nails literally never crosses my mind. Like what they put on their face or stick up their ass. Live your life and let me live mine.

Liberals: “live your life but let me live mine.”
Also liberals: “no we’re not learning to read and write in class today, we’re learning about transvestite penises, and it’s mandatory.” We don’t care if you don’t like it. If you don’t like it, we’ll just try to shame you into acceptance by calling you a homophobe.
Liberals: “live your life but let me live mine.”
Also liberals: “anyone who does not think transvestites and story time are somehow related and necessary for a proper rendering of the story is a hatemongor, you are not allowed to have your own opinion other than the one we want you to have.” “No you can’t live your life and let me live mine, you must accept my life and reject yours.”
Liberals: we want free speech.
Also liberals: you can’t disagree or it’s hate speech.
- +1 y
I don't think we should be learning about those things in class. We should teach kids that trans people exist, but not any anatomy, or try to veer kids in that direction. Like we should teach kids that religion exists but not any details or impart any lessons from it that may be controversial. Teach the kids to be accepting and friendly, but not that gay marriage is a sin or sex before marriage is one too. The problem with modern-day politics, on either side, nobody is fucking rational. Trump nor Biden are reasonable, but at least Biden is classically professional. I believe that people should be able to say whatever they want. I don't care if somebody comes out and says they don't believe in gay marriage as long as you aren't attacking a gay person directly. These are just standard thought processes that republicans and democrats are taking too far. Being chronically online is affecting both sides, in my opinion.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yI think of them the same way I think of women who wear suits and ties, or short hair. They are sending a message about who they are, deep down inside.
The man who wears nail polish is saying "I'm a woman at heart, or want to be a woman, but I am stuck in a man's body".
The woman who wears a suit and tie, or short hair, is saying "I'm a man at heart, or want to be a man, but I am stuck in a woman's body".

I know, but I’m saying I think that’s more due to mental illness. Not trend setting. Not trying something new. Not even pushing the SJW agenda.
I’m saying I think he did that out of mental illness solely.

@Ninania
Soooo…. it’s masculine to be feminine? That proves they are a real man. Copy. They way to display one’s masculinity and to show they are secure in their masculinity is to adorn their bodies as women do.
Also, if a man thinks he’s a woman trapped in a mans body, the best way to soothe that is to get a sex change or be a transvestite.
Liberals:
The best way for a man to display his masculinity and how secure in it he is is to look more like a women.
Also liberals: the best way for a man to feel more like a woman is to dress like one or try to become one.
So the road to masculinity goes through femininity. The best way to be more masculine is to be more feminine.
Do you people listen to yourselves talk?
- +1 y
@Ninania
Nope. Nice try. I want you to respond to the contradiction I just pointed out. They are mutually exclusive.
Can’t say the way to masculinity and secureness in it is the same solution to being less masculine and more feminine.
Look, I get it. You’re a transgender. That’s obvious by your photo. You want to be accepted and your lifestyle accepted.
Not everyone agrees with this lifestyle. I don’t agree with people using heroin. I also don’t agree with men dressing like women.
Women wearing bloomers, which eventually became pants was accepted by society because of ease of use. A dress is not good attire for every situation. That was the reason.
That’s completely different from wearing nail polish.
Also, most of all of society accepted women wearing pants. Not even close to most accept men wearing nail polish. - +1 y
@Ninania
Listen. This is simple. A transgender male…the prescription to resolve feelings of personality not matching biological sex is to live and be as much of a woman as possible. According to psychologists. That’s the prescribed cure for gender dysmorphic disorder.
Then being more feminine can’t also be an expression of secure and in tact masculinity. Otherwise the cure they’re prescribing for transgenders (being more feminine) would only create more secure masculinity in the transgender. It would have the opposite effect.
It’s like saying: “we know chemo therapy both kills cancer and causes it, so we’re prescribing that as treatment.” Would it not be stupid to prescribe a cancer causing agent to treat cancer? Same thing. - +1 y
@Ninania
The reaction is subjective.
You’re saying: “this room is awfully bright, I want it less bright, so I will turn down the lights.” “I could also increase the light to make it darker as well.” Can’t have 2 opposite solutions to the same problem.
It’s not 2 + 2 = 4
And also: 2 - 2 = 4
Can’t have it that being more feminine is the cure for masculinity and also the secure expression of it. Doesn’t matter the person.
let people do whatever the fuck they want , they aren't bothering u

Stud earrings are more popular amongst men than nail polish is. I used to wear a stud on each ear before my stepfather barbarically destroyed them. Tell me, are studs/hoops in any case girlish?
It's one thing if they let their younger female relatives do it to them or for reasons other than because they think it looks good but other than that, it really rubs me the wrong way. It just doesn't mix well for males.

Interesting... What religion? if you don't mind my asking... It's an interesting practice.
- +1 y
@LindsayR07 I practise Islam. We’re obligated to pray five times a day, but many combine several prayers into one long prayer. Before prayer, we must make ablution, ie wash our hands, arms, feet, mouth, face, head, and optionally ears and neck. Nail polish must get removed to make a good ablution.
- +1 y
Well, it may not be my cup of tea but I respect that it's yours and I think it's very interesting.
Islam is one of the religions I've always found myself knowing far too little about, but have always found interesting at the same time.

@LindsayR07 aight
- +1 y
Looks like I can’t message You. The thing is, I don’t really call Islam a religion, as the etymology of the word religion is scrupulousness, pious misgivings, superstition, sanctity, an object of veneration, cult-observance, and not all of them are Islamic.
